After the funeral I went to see Dexter. "Aaa the beautiful Tey." He said hugging me. "O darling, I am so sorry for your lost!" Sandra said hugging. "Thank You."
I was eating an samoosa when Alex touched me. "Hi sunshine!" He said. I turned around and smiled at him. "Sorry for your loss!" "Thank you but he has no more pain." I gave a sad smile. "I know how close you two were Tey." Alex said I looked at Victor and Sam and smiled at them. Sam asked me if I was okay by showing me the diver sign of okay. I nodded.
"Excuse me are you Miss Martins?" An unfamiliar voice. I turned around and saw a man that I haven't met before. "Hi, yes that's me. And who are You?" I said giving him my hand to shake. "I am Santiago Cabrera." He said. "I am the owner of Cabrera Accounting Firm and I have been at the Smits firm and saw your work. It is very impressive Miss Martins." "Please call me Teylie, and thank you Ray."
"You probably wondering what I am doing here but I have been trying to get hold of you but you are indeed an busy lady!" Santiago said. Sam and Victor and John came next to me. Typical they think he will hurt me, but then again I was hurt twice. Once by Randy and then Greg he broke my heart. "Aaa these gentlemen must be your brothers?" Santiago asked. "No, this Sam, Victor and John. They are my friends." I said. Ssntiago nodded and raised an eyebrow. He is an attractive man. But not my type, I looked at his hand and saw that he was married. Yay!!!!
"Maybe you can call me tomorrow when you are ready Miss Teylie Martins." Santiago said and gave me his business card. I put the card in my purse and thanked him. "He is very important." Sam said. I turned and looked at him. "How do you know?" I asked and Sam just touched his nose and said,"Sam knows everything!" He smiled. I laughed and playfully hit his arm.
We all went home and I went to have my shower and head to bed. My nose and eyes are sore. After my shower I went to sleep.
**Next Morning**
Dexter said I had the day off. I looked at Santiago business card and thought about it. I went downstairs to talk to mom. I need her advice. "Morning Skat!" "Morning Mom!" I said sitting down and had my face in my hands. "Ok, what's up!" Mom said sitting down next to me. John came in and sat down next to mom.
"Ok I am trying to get over Greg. But I can't if I work at his firm?" John and mom nodded. "So I am thinking maybe give this Santiago a call today?" "That is not a bad idea?" Mom said rubbing my arm. "Do you have his number and do you know what you will be doing?" John asked. I was shocked. John actually is a smart guy. No wonder why mom likes him. "Nope!" I said popping my p. John nodded and told me I should give him a call before I quit at Smits firm.
I worked up the courage and called Mr Santiago Cabrera. After our call I was surprised to find out that it was Him that was trying to offer me a job. I said I would like to have an Interview and it was in Chicago. I called Dexter and told him that I am heading to Chicago for a friend and I will be back on Friday. Dexter said it was alright. I ran downstairs and told my mom and John. They were both happy for me.
John said he will book me a flight and then a flight back on him. I went to pack my bags and got ready. Before I went to the airport I looked at hotels that I can stay at for the two days. John and mom dropped me off at the airport and it was time for me to go. I didn't say bye to Sam, Vic and Sarah but John said he would explain to them.
I have arrived at Chicago and boy it is cold. I saw there was a shop near by so I went to buy a nice thick jacket for this cold weather. I called a taxi and told him where I was staying. I sent my mom a message to say that I have arrived safely. The hotel was not bad looking and wow my room has this amazing view.
