brendon stared carefully at ryan, keeping his intervals of looking unsuspicious. something about the phone call they shared last night made brendon want to make sure he's okay. he felt responsible for him, in a way. brendon didn't necessarily feel good about this urge to protect the younger boy but, he was feeling that way and couldn't stop it.
brendon watched ryan slump in his desk as he wrote the notes from the board behind him. ryan struggled to focus on his paper as he tried not to think about brendon. something about him felt so familiar to ryan, like his bed or his shower; it was his voice. something about his voice made him feel warm, and comforted. the familiarity of his voice was so unfamiliar to ryan.
"ryan?" mr. urie asked from the front of the class. the teen quickly looked up to the front of the class, realizibg that it was just him and his teacher. he blushed and started to pack up his things rushed. "sorry, sir." he mumbled shyly, embarrassed by his dream like state.
brendon only stared sympathetically, taking a deep breath before asking, "are you okay?" the question shocked ryan, not because no one ever asks, because they do; but the tone in his voice was so genuine and... familiar.
ryan paused as he felt the warmth fall over his body, he quickly zipped his backpack closed, nodding hesitantly clearing his throat. "uh... yeah, im fine. thanks." he said quietly.
brendon stared deeply into the side of his head, trying to read ryans thoughts even though it was very impossible. as ryan quickly headed towards the door brendon decided to remind him, "you can talk to me if theres ever something wrong..." he said sweetly, before cautiously adding "any of your teachers, you can talk to us." with the last sentence the warmth that was wrapped around him quickly disappeared from his body, nodding respectfully he left brendon alone in his classroom.
