"Don't be scared. I am not going to do anything to you.", you tried to calm down the confused green eyed boy. He was looking around precariously as he slowly backed away from you, until his back touched the rock-hard wall behind him. Placing your hands on your waist, you looked at the blocked exit. Both of you were trapped inside the infirmary of this school building. There were no windows here as well since it was located in the basement.
Right after you entered the infirmary, which was located in the basement of the school, you encountered a boy, who was wearing the uniform of the survey corps. He was kind of shocked when he first saw you. Shortly after your encounter there was some kind of earth quake outside, causing the ceiling to collapse and blocking the entrance. Fortunately, the whole building didn*t collapse altogether, you thought.
" What's your name?", you asked him, still looking at the debris in front of you, 'We seem to be of the same age. I am 18, and you?'
No reply.
"Do I look that threatening to you?", you laughed awkwardly, trying to relieve the tension. The boy just looked down and raked his hand through his brown hair. "Don't give me that look. I'm not offended or anything. You don't have to tell me your name if you don't want to. Let's see how to get out of here for now, okay?", you suggested.
The lights began to flicker.
"Did the cables get damaged during the quake? If the lights go out we will have a serious problem.", you noted with a frown. "Let's look for something stable to push those boulder away.", you suggested calmly. You wondered whether he was mute or something since you had not heard his voice once. 'You were a member of the military? Do you by chance know someone called Levi Ackerman?'
No response again. You were kind of offended by his silence, but you accepted it nonetheless. You wandered around the room, in search of something to push the boulders away. It also worried you that you wouldn't make it back home in time, as you promised Levi.
"Actually, I don't remember my name. I don't remember anything at all.", he suddenly said. His voice was rather deep, but youthful nonetheless. You turned around instantly and smiled. "So you can talk! Thank godness!", you exclaimed thrilled.
The boy blushed. "Are you travelling on your own?", you asked him. The boy seemed to be suspicious of you. "You know, you don't have to answer me if you don't want to. I am travelling with someone else and we are looking for survivors. If you want to, you can join us." The boy immediately shook his head no. "I'm sorry, but I can't trust you.", he apologized.
You shrugged your shoulders. "Nah, it's okay. But I am glad to know that there are other survivors besides us." You picked up two sturdy looking pipes from the corner of the room and handed him one. "Let's use them as a lever and push away those lumps, why don't we?"
He followed your instructions and after a while the entrance was cleared. You wiped off the sweat on your forehead and turned to the boy. "We did it!", you laughed.
"Thank you.", he said, a faint smile on his face. The both of you took as much materials as you could inside of your bags before leaving the building. It was already beginning to get dark when you got outside.
"Shit! I have to go!", the boy said as he stormed off. "Take care.", he said as he waved goodbye.
"Hey! Don't run away!", you shouted, but he already quickly vanished in between the trees.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"What happened to you?", Levi asked, looking at your dirty clothes. "There was a concussion around the area of Mosstown, triggered by some titans I guess.", you replied as you placed down the supplies on the dining table, "There were still some around and that quake they made caused the old building to collapse, so I was trapped there in the basement."
You could saw that his expression turned somewhat worried. 'How can you say that so nonchalantly?', was written all over his face.
"Tch. I knew that it was a stupid idea to let you go by yourself."
"But I am back now, right? Don't make such a fuss about that.", you retorted, "And I was right about the infirmary, by the way. I managed to get a lot of useful stuff." He wasn't too happy with your reckless attitude, but he did not scold you any further. His eyes followed you while you proudly took out the drugs, disinfectants, dressing material and surgical instruments.
"Do you know how to use that?", he asked you, pointing at the scissors and scalpels. You shook your head no. "But I thought that they could come in handy.", you smiled.
"By the way", you suddenly remembered.
"I met a young man there who wore a military uniform from the survey corps. He seemed to be no older than me."
Levi's eyes widened in astonishment when he heard that. He took you by surprise when he grabbed your shoulder and turned you his way. "In the infirmary?" His steel coloured eyes looked straight at you.
"Y-yeah.", you replied kind of intimidated, "B-but he couldn't tell me his name. He seemed to suffer from amnesia, so he was pretty confused the entire time. We were trapped in the infirmary together, but he was already there when I got there. He was taller than me, had brown hair and green eyes."
Levi thought about it for a while, but the description was too general.
"Where is he now?"
"I don't know, Levi. He suddenly ran off into the woods when we got outside as if he was chased by something, but there was no one at all. I couldn't follow him with all that stuff in my bag.", you told him. "Ow, Levi. You are hurting me.", you complained. He quickly let go of you and apologized.
"It's too late now to depart, it's already dark. Let's stay another night here.", Levi suggested to which you agreed. You were starving and tired.
"Lay down for a while. I will prepare dinner.", he said. You thanked him before leaving for a nap.
While Levi cooked dinner, he thought about your words.
"Green eyes and brown hair is very vague, but could it be...?"
