8. company

KIM BAE EUN

Another work day.

It's not like I don't like my work, it is actually pretty relaxing since there aren't many designing to do on a daily basis, and that's the reason.

Too boring.

I entered the big building, and then the elevator after greeting my coworkers. I pressed the button writing "6", 6th floor, where the designer's office is at.

"Ding!" The elevator door opens, revealing a plain white space, with some green plants as decoration.

I exited the elevator, walking to the office.

Seems like nobody's here yet.

I head towards my place. After placing my bag on it, I turned around and looked outside the floor-to-ceiling window. The beautiful morning scenery of Seoul could be seen. I took a deep breath, relaxing myself, enjoying the view before work starts.

Just when I was about to message Jisung about how beautiful the scenery was, since it's been a few days since we spoke, a familiar voice came from behind.

"Oh, you're already here!" I looked around, it's Chaeri.

"Good morning." I greeted her.

"You too." She says as she put her belongings on her desk, "I thought I can finally be the earliest to reach for once," She looked at me in the eyes, acting serious, "But I forgot we have you." And laughed.

I laughed lightly, and kinda felt thirsty. I reached out for my water bottle.

"Want some coffee?" Probably noticing that I'm thirsty, Chaeri suggested, and I nodded. Although I still prefer tea, coffee sounds like a better option since I still have a long day to go. You know, I have to prevent falling asleep at work. I still want my job, gotta make a living, haha.

Chaeri then went to make some coffee for both of us, and I returned to my place. Minutes later she came back with two mugs of coffee. While we were enjoying it, the other coworkers came to work one by one.

It's been a few days since I spoke with Bae Eun, I wonder how is she doing?

I questioned as I entered one of the biggest industrial organization's building in Seoul.

Kind of nervous, I asked the receptionist about my employment details.

The receptionist handed me my worker's card, and said that everything is settled, what I have to do now is to meet Laura, the leader of the designing team, who is currently at the cafeteria. The receptionist help contacted her, now all I have to do is to wait for her at the counter.

In about 5 minutes, I saw a woman rushing towards the counter. She spoke a few words to the receptionist, and then came to me.

"You must be Mr. Yoon," She speaks as she sticks out her hand, signing for a handshake, "Nice to meet you, I'm Laura, the leader of the designing team. I look forward to working with you in the future," She smiles.

"I'm Yoon Jisung, nice to meet you. Let's work hard in the future." I replied her handshake.

"Let's head to the office, I have a few more person to introduce to you."
