5:30 pm.

"What should we do?" Chaeri says, peeping at Jisung whose heading to his house.

Chaeri, Min, Yura, Chan and Laura are all here. We have to enter my house, but we are facing a problem.

If we enter now, Jisung would see us, and the surprise party will fail before it even started.

"I have an idea." Yura suddenly says, causing all of our attention to gather on her. "Bae Eun, you distract him. Send him a message, tell him to help you get something or whatever, all we need is just a few minutes."

"Okay..." I took out my phone, and wrote a message, sent it away.

"Whose idea was it again?" Says Chaeri.

"Yours." Yura replies.

"You both agreed, now stop complaining." Laura stops them.

We are currently preparing for the "surprise welcoming party" for Jisung.

They originally wanted to order chicken, but unfortunately the best chicken restaurant-- CBX Fried Chicken is closed today. Min suggested to order chicken from somewhere else, but Yura said "IT'S A WELCOMING PARTY, WE SHOULD SERVE THE BEST FOOD" and refused to order chicken from other places.

That's what she said, but deep down inside, we all know that it is because after tasting the chicken from CBX, other chicken tasted like nothing compared to it.

So we decided to cook. More like Chaeri told Chan and Min to cook.

So now they are, Chan and Min in the kitchen cooking. Laura is sweeping the floor, Yura and Chaeri are making the decorations for the party.

And I... Uh, I am sitting on the couch.

I wanted to help, but they insisted that I don't have to since I provided the space for the party.

I sat silently on the couch, looking at Chaeri almost stapling her fingers every thirty seconds, Yura accidentally drew on her shirt while making the "welcome" sign, cursing afterwards. I feel a little guilty doing nothing when the rest are busy, and then an idea popped up in my head.

Desserts is a must after meals, right...?

A message notification popped up in my phone.

From: Bae Eun

Erm, I'm sorry but can you help me out? I need some candies, can you help me buy some now? Any flavour is fine as long as it is soft candy. I have something urgent to do so I can't get it by myself.

Thousands of questions popped up in my mind.

Why me? What is that that is so urgent? Why does she need candies? And most importantly... Why candies???
(A/N: *cough* jisung *cough* i think u put ur attention on the wrong thing)

I raised my head and looked at my house that is just a few steps away, I hesitated a little, and decided to help her, although I am very confused. Helping won't hurt anyway... and I'm very happy that she thought of me.

I wrote a message back.

To: Bae Eun

Sure, I can help. How should I give it to you?

I turned around and began walking to the nearest mini market, humming a cheerful song as I did so.

I forgot what is the song title, but I think it goes like "wanna be my baby" or something, I don't really remember.

Ding!

Oh, she replied. That was pretty fast.
