Ice blasted from Gray's icy palms as his magic permeated through the wooden door, the surface splintering into tiny frosted fractions. His teeth grit as the scent of blood drifted into his crooked nose. Already he was aware of the reek of death filling the room and the crimson ichor dousing the flat. Entering the rachitic shack he searched, his head looking back and forth from one side to the other.
'Where is he?' the Raven haired man thought as he dashed around. Looking  around the whole house he wonders if maybe it was the wrong address... Which meant he just broke into somebodies home. 'Just like the flame brain' he grumbed to himself, reaching inside his pants pocket. Sighing in relief at the fact he still was wearing pants he lifted his phone and called the guildhall. Pressing the lacrima phone to his ear he heard the buzzing indicating the call was going through. Stalking to the entrance of the hut his sapphire orbs trained on the wall.
"Hello? Gray, is that you?" A firm voice echoed through the device.
"He's not here" Gray grouted in a hoarse voice. His legs stumbled forward as he tripped on an object infront of him.
"What do you mean?! That's the exact address Natsu went to!" Erza spit back, making Gray flinch away from the phone. The audio crackled as it begun to loose connection and he struggled to get up off the ground. Liquid drenched his knees and hands in the wet substance. Carefully he looked down and saw a large puddle of blood surrounding him. Lifting himself from the floor he turned around and saw the limp bodies of his teammate and a woman that was skeletal enough to be hanged on a stand and displayed for a science or Heath class. Appalled he scrambled over to the two lethargic souls.
"Gray? Gray answer me!"
Pressing his index and middle fingers he pressed them to the woman's neck feeling for a pulse. Feeling nothing he knew she was the one who was smelling of death. Seeing the gun in her curled hand he didn't feel remorse either. He turned his attention to his rosy hair companion. Pressing his fingers to the dragon slayers neck he felt for a pulse, relief washing over him as the boy let out a weak moan. Pulling the injured male into his arms he pushed himself to his feet and sprinted out of the house.
"Gray! What is going on?! Should Master send help?" The static voice of the great Titania boomed through the speaker of the lacrima.
"I got him. He's wounded badly. The client led a trap for him" he explained quickly craddleing the 19 year old to his chest.
"Get him to the hospital-- now!!!" Erza ordered, but the words were lost on the ice make wizard. His cobalt eyes were already brimming with tears as he looked down at the dying mage.
"I got ya Natsu" he mumbled as he sprinted towards the hospital.
"Gray? Gray! Are you still there?!" A soft voice murmured into the phone. The voice wasn't of the red headed demon. No, it was much kinder.
"Lisanna? Yeah, I'm here. I'm almost to the hospital" Gray grunted out as the infirmary was in site.
"Okay, good. Erza, Master, Lucy, Happy, and Wendy are on their way" the white haired girl replied as the call clicked off. Gray kept up his pace, running until he reached the emergency room doors. Barreling through he rushed up to the front desk bumping into people as the coral haired boy limply bled out onto the floor.
"Hey, we need a gurney right now! My teammates about to bleed to death!!" He called out to the nurses and EMT's. They quickly placed the rosy haired fire breather on the gurney and rolled him towards the inside trauma center. Charging through double doors he was left behind in the waiting room with only silence to comfort him.
"Stupid flame brain. Please live dammit"

Hours ticked by as Gray sat in the god forsaken waiting room. He would be damned if he said he wasnt worried to death. Since he arrived at the Onibus Hospital with  his salmon haired companion he had heard nothing except that they where taking him up to surgery with magical healers on standby. When the rest of the team (and Makorav) finally arrived it had been three hours already, no updates given. Eventually Makorav went up to the desk and asked why they where not receiving updates.
"None of you are immediate family, and nothing shows for someone being his advocate when he is unable to make decisions for himself."
He wanted to strangle the poor nurse when she said that. They were his family. These people had no right to say that Fairy Tail wasn't, or that they couldn't know what was going on with their guild mate!
A hand gentle touched his shoulder. Whirling around he saw the exhausted, anguished face of his teammate Lucy. Admitted, he used to have a crush on the busty, fair headed wizard. As time flew by though, he grew to like her more as a little sister. It was also known she was inclined toward the spirited, lizard loving pyromaniac.
"Love rival!" A voice shrieked inside his noggin. Shaking his head he stared at the flaxen haired girl in full attention.
Her watery mahogany orbs peered up at him as she twisted her finger in her long gold tresses.
"They finally let Makorav get an update on Natsu's condition" the celestial keyholder murmured. His eyelids blinked closed for a second as she went on. "It doesn't look good"
Gray rolled his eyes at the statement. 'Of course it doesn't look that good! He was shot and lost to much blood' he ruminated to himself, his teeth clenched together. Huffing he looked back at the girl in reprise.
"How bad is "it doesn't look good" Lu?" He raised while crossing his burly arms along his torso. Agitation crept over him as a miniscule voice bit frostily in his ears. 'You won't like what you see' it jibed.
"The doctors aren't sure they can do much, even if they save him" Lucy sighed ruefully into her fist. The ice mage stepped foraward.
"What do you mean?! What the hell kind of an answer is that?!" The ice make mage clamored uttered, baffled by such a thickheaded response. A few people looked over at him in uneased concern making the Raven haired male froth with rage. What kind of hospital was this? These doctors where out of their minds!!!
"We don't know. They want to talk to Natsu before revealing options" the faired haired woman stuttered, baffled by the frost wizards reaction. Trying to keep his composure he breathed out and rested his shoulders.
"What would be so important that they can only talk to the pyro before us?" He queried in a low voice, meaning the question only for himself. Unsure of everything at the moment he relaxed into a chair and closed his cruel, sapphire orbs.
What is there to know that has to be kept secret?
