Chapter 12
'Rose!'
Huh, James?
'Rose will be missed by all of us, may you rest in pea-Uff!'
James cut Carmen off mid sentence with a nice big jab to the gut.
'Rose are you OK?'
James was now right in my face shaking my shoulders vigorously.
'Ja-a-ames-s I-I'm fi-i-ine!'
Finally he stopped shaking my and let me sit up.
'God Rose, I was so scared! when you fell and didn't get up I thought you had hit your head on one of the rocks!'
'Yeh we thought you were dead!'
Carmen seemed to be dealing with the situation well meanwhile James looked like he was about to have a mental fit.
'So what happened? because this isn't where I was when I blacked out.'
'Oh yeah, well, you collapsed on the ground and James and I were still walking behind you when we saw you fall down like a domino!'
'Oi! who are you calling a domino?'
'Rose shut up, I was getting to the good part.'
'So me fainting has a benefit?'
'Rose.'
'Fine, fine, continue.'
Carmen paused for a second before continuing.
'So James and I ran over to you but James got to you first, he checked to see if you had hit your head before he-'
Smack! James had his hand clamped over Carmen's mouth and was giving to ground a hard stare, it was intimidating! not to mention the deadly aura coming from him.
'Carmen... tell her, and you die...'
Carmen managed to pry his hand away before winking at me and sticking her tongue out at James.
'Fine then, you magically floated over and so we brought Hopper over here as well.'
I looked down at the small ball of fuzz heaving quick rapid breaths.
'He's dying Rose, I think we need to face reality, he's not going to get better.'
James put his arm around me as he spoke.
'Hey James?'
'Um yeah?'
'Do you want me to give you another lecture about Hopper?'
'No....'
'Good but I think now is the time I face the facts that Hopper isn't going to live.'
