We ran and ran and ran. So much that I just fell llon the floor. The Handsome man carried me as I thought about all that happened and..... fainted.
I woke up to handsome man shirt less. His shirt was behind my head being used as a pillow. Kevin was wearing his police gear. They were all covered in sweat.
"Name's Zander. Nice to meet you."
"Hi Zander. Where are we?"
"That is none of your concern. We lost them."
I hate that no one is telling me anything. But at least I get to look at dreamy Zander while he checks me over. Zander has fluffy blonde hair and dreamy green eyes. He was big hard mussels. He is the perfect dream boy.
"Do you fell alright? Need to talk about anything?"
"Uh, yeah. Please, I beg you, tell me what is happening?"
"Sorry I can not."
"Why?"
"The less you know the better. We need to keep you and the other safe."
"What others?"
His face gets tight. He knows he messed up. He HAS to tell me now.
"The others being hunted."
"Tell me more."
"I shouldn't."
"Zander please. I need to know something!"
"You know to say away from them. Now you know to stop asking questions."
I get closer to him. So close we could kiss. I see my friends raise their eyebrows. I need this man to trust me.
"Zander. I need to know. I have to. The more I know the better. This is my life. I deserve to know what is happening in my life."
He hesitates.
"Rose. I can not. I know you want to know. I want to tell you. But...."
"Zander. Please."
"But then they will be able to hunt you faster. They track you by your fear."
