The Showdown

"Uh.... what?"

"Leader we did not agree on this!"

"You are correct. I want to see how loyal you are."

"But I can not use magic!"

"I know."

We look at each other. There is no weapons in the room. Just us.

"He has a broken arm!"

"Then it should be easy for you."

No windows in the room. Nothing. Nothing but two friends locked inside.

"Rose..."

"Vinny..."

"Only one can make it out. Who is going to die! Death is fun!"

"Not me."

Vinny sits down.

"Uh, well not me either."

I sit down as well.

"You did not say we HAD to leave. So we will be staying here."

"Yep. Vinny is right."

"OK then. Let's add some things. If none of you make it out, Grace and Leo will die."

It hurts, but I do not think I can kill Vinny. I could never kill someone straight from my hands like that. Plus I just meet Grace and Leo today. I know nothing about them. I known Vinny since I was five. Also they are older than we are. They lived longer.

"That's fine. I do not care. Kill them. You can not force me to kill Vinny."

BLAM.

The door flies across the room, almost hitting me in the head since I directly across from it.

"WHAT!?"

Zander stands there shirt less. He is breathing heavily, like it took him a lot of energy to do that. Then I notice that his hands are glowing...

"Zander? You are a wizard!?"

"Let's go. Grace and Leo are struggling fighting the kids."

"What kids?"

"The evil wizards. Along with demons."

"Is Derrick..."

"Yes along with Dun and Pris. Come Vinny. We must save Grace and Leo."

We run out of the room following Zander.

"You guys ready for a showdown?"

We nod our heads.

"Alright then let's go."

Zander opens the door.  The battle field is crazy. Lot's of magic blasting everywhere. It is intense. Leader is behind his team of wizards and demons. Behind him is Sandy and Kevin in cages. Behind our team is a female cop.  She is yelling orders and shooting her own magic. I wonder if she is our official leader, because as far as I know we have no leader.

"Zander me and Vinny can not use magic."

"Well then get them out of the cage.  Be useful.  I did not break you out for no reason."

Well that was rude. I mean we have to do it but wouldn't that be hard with all the magic blasting and such? Leader looks me in the eye. It is so intense. That look tells me to run. He is right.

"Zander?"

"Rose. I gave you an order."

"Fudge your order. I think Sandy and Kevin will agree my life is more important. I need to get out of here.  He wants me. It is not safe for me here. Sandy and Kevin now the risks they took when they join this .... whatever this is."
