Ouch.

What the fuck just hit my face?

Oh, it's Riri.

I rub my eyes and check the time. 12:00. Not bad, usually I sleep 'till 2.

I groan, still not a morning person. I'm slightly more perky when I wake up on my own terms. "What?

She giggles a little. Apparently she hasn't heard about how lethal I can be in the mornings. When my eyes finally adjust to the light, I throw her a glare.

"Is Rob up?"

"Yeah, I've already been downstairs and eaten. He told me to tell you that he made you coffee. And waffles." she says.

My eyes light up a little. "He's the best brother ever. Seriously." I say, smiling. I head downstairs to the smell of coffee and Eggos. What? They have a distinctive smell!

"'Morning, bro." I say and pour myself a coffee. I collect my waffles from the toaster on the way to my seat, too.

"What's on the agenda for today?" I ask the both of them.

"Well, there's band practice as usual. Oh, and there's a party at Andy's house tonight. Oh, I was supposed to ask you about that! Are you going?" Robert says.

"I'll go if Maria is going. Which means she'll go if TJ's going." I say.

"If Max is going, you're going no matter what." Maria adds in. I roll my eyes.

"Not everything is about Max, guys. I'll go because there will be other people I know that aren't Max at the party. And because I know I'll be dragged along anyway."

"Valid point. You don't have a decision in most matters involving Max."

I roll my eyes at Maria. "We won't stop until the two of you are actually together, you know." my brother says.

"I've gathered such."

"Well then. I think we should get dressed and go to the mall to get something cute to wear for the party tonight. I'll see you later, Rob." Maria says excitedly.

Yep, persistent Maria. I roll my eyes and follow her upstairs.

Before I get changed into clothes for the day, I see my iPhone's screen flash. I pick it up to find I have a new text from an unknown number. Curious, I open it.

"hey I left my jacket at ur house last nite. u can borrow it just as long as i get it back haha. (; -Max."

I save his number into my phone, and decide not to reply. There's not really a need to, anyway. I do wonder, however, how he got my number. Probably not from Riri, or she would have freaked out about it to me. To be completely honest, these are the kind of things she shoots for.

I lock my phone again and decide to hop in the shower, now that I hear the water stop; singalling Maria's done in there.

I shower quickly, and dry myself with a towel. I examine it to see that it's tinted red. For as awesome as it is to have bright red hair, it's a bitch to keep up. But I still love it.

I head into my room to find Riri already dressed and looking at me expectantly. "What?" I ask. "You took long enough. Now come on, get dressed and wear something cute. You never know who you're going to run into at the mall." she says, winking. With that, she heads downstairs to give me some privacy.

I put on a purple top, and a pair of black skinnies, along with my usual accessories, and a pair of vans.

I grab my wallet and phone, and head downstairs where Maria's waiting for me at the door. Just as I'm about to leave, I grab Max's leather jacket. What? It matches perfectly, and he said I could borrow it.
