Amara's POV

"I'm having problems with my throat. I keep having sore and strep throats. And I was told the ER doctors every time i go to the hospital that I am thinking about getting my tonsils removed." Mrs. Martinez says.

"Okay and yes we can remove your tonsils however I have to tell you that we we're now figuring out that removing your tonsils doesn't really always solve your problem it can always come back whenever. But if you want to get your tonsils removed you can." I said.

"Yes I do want to get them removed for sure. And if I get them removed will I be missing out on anything? Are me getting my tonsils removed going to mess something up?"

" that's a good question and no it won't messing anything up. May I take a look at your throat?"

"Yes you can"

I take the stick and tell Mrs.martinez to say ahhhh and for her to stick out her tongue a little. When I'm looking I see her throats and it's all red and puffy and sore.

"I can see your throat and it is red puffy and irritated."

"Okay that is normal right as in like for a strep throat nothing really bad or concerning right?"

"Yes it is"

"On a scale from 1 to 10 how bad does it hurt?"

"9"

" okay so im going to be right back I'm going to get your paper work and figure out a day for you to do your surgery."

I open the door and walk outside and close the door behind me. I walk to the desk and ask nurse Sophia if she can print out some release papers and papers on to tell her what is wrong with her and how the surgery is going to go and I ask her to print out some papers talking about the dates for the surgery and the time.

Once I get all of those papers I sign and staple then i  and go back to the room that Mrs.Martinez is in.

I once again knock, open the door and close it behind me.

"Okay so these papers are talking about getting your tonsils removed and restrictions on what you can and can not eat after that surgery for a certain amount of days and then you can return to your regular eating habits. The next  papers are talking about what strep throat is and how it starts. So basically is bacteria in your throats that cause the sore aching and the irritation these papers go into great detail. And next I need you to sign these papers for release you can go after that."

Mrs.martinez signs the paper. " Do you have any questions before I leave?" I ask her.

"No if I do I can just call you right?"

"Yea" I replied I smile and waved bye she did the same and was getting ready to leave after me.

I walked back over to where the nurses desk are and told Sophia "here are the papers can you make sure everything is ready for next week on Thursday for Mrs.Martinez's surgery.

"Will do" she responds

I sigh and walk back to my office tired and think maybe being a doctor isn't for me I come to work all depressed and sad the thing that I really wanted to be was a model and a few other things. I'm more into fashion and music, not health care.
