The mediocre's souvenir

The seemingly endless sky.
It depicts the deep blue sea.
Calm and serene.
Peaceful and quite.
Feelings of gleeful joy.
With elated emotions,
He watched the birds fly.
All in a series of bends
With beautiful ends.
Claiming the sky as their own.

As he lay on the green grass,
Gazing up at the blue yonder
With a glint of solace
Found in his turquoise like eyes.
Beauty brimming to no ends
Having a calming effect,
On the halcyon days of the mid 1970s.
Content with what he had
Despite of the countries at war.
A situation where people die.
Merciless brutal force of the tenets
The thesis of dismay
Displaying a sense of disquietude.
Stinging with snide the serene souls.
Killing them with a simpering titter.

He might have felt lost,
Or left alone.
The day he met the seaside shore
With memories coming to the core.
Yet he choose to be close
To who he knew would reflect love
And appreciate his every move.

It may be a memory,
That he recalled.
Since the day he was lost,
He was obscure,
To the world he thought,
Must honour him
With pride he told
The tale untold,
To multitudinous stars,
He today lived with.
