Cure of 54

The right to bare arms

"Are we going to be able to find our relatives? After this? I really miss my son and sister .." Maria went on not able to withstand her loneliness

"Hopefully,I truly miss my wife and son and my daughter also does." Jonathan included as they walked down the halls

"All I had is Xavier and now he's gone." Zack's enthusiasm crumbled more and more without his only friend

"Well I haven't known you for long but we can all stick together and then things will change." Laney touched Zacks back making Zack laugh

"HEY LOOK!!" Telis ran to an opening in the wall which was to the hidden rooms

"Do you think this is where Xavier went?" Maria looked at the opening

"Well,all we can do is look." Jonathan positioned his gun and entered down the stairs

Everyone crept down the stairs by each step

All I could think about is my science lab. I truly miss it ; the anxiety of excitement is holding me back from running to the world capitals lab.

The suspense of if the cure is in the lab or not is killing me. But in the back of my mind I think "How am I really going to cure everyone.It's been years since a regular society has been contained." I thought again "Oh well. It will be in our hands."

I walked down a hallway that seemed like forever. Each ceiling light seeming to get dimmer from its distance. Dark walls covered the hallway like it was a cold hard blanket.

" I really need to be a normal person." I chuckled to myself silently

"What is this room..." Zack asked looking at Telis for an answer

"Don't look at me. I don't know I was never shown this place."

"It seems to be empty. But we should always stay prepared." Jonathan examined the dark room with just an dark wooden table and a few flickering lights

"My father never told me about this place. Maybe I could contact him." Telis sighed and walked around the room with the others

The hallway was pure darkness just by the color of the walls with few dim lights and a few flickering on or off

It seemed like forever as I walked the long narrow hallway not even seeing an door yet

I dozed off thinking about back at the work. Where I was at most....

Which made me think.. What was that dream which I had in the saferoom trying to unravel but it doesn't matter I always dreamt about Toria. I could not believe my eyes she's here! But why...has she followed us ...

I became very elated when I notice the door which at the looks of it hasn't been touched since the place was at it's average basis.

I quickly but cautiously walked carrying my gun in my left hand and the map in the other being very thankful that my friends taught me the tactics of police

 The door had several signs boarded up on it like "testing in progress" and "Testing room 01 for 8.8. Researchers only no one beyond this point."

 I blindly grab the handle which was colder than ice almost burning my hand in coldness

 The door budges then stops to open then fully opens

 I walk into the room to be a normal sized room with fluorescent light as bright as my lab. I sighed in relief that there are no 54's. Alone all by myself....

I look around quickly for anything ; which there was tons of mixed things around. Just one chemical and this will be finished. All of my work will be soon success.

 "Do you think this would be enough to cure entire planet?" Zack held up the two mixed chemicals which were about two gallons 

"Well,first of all Zack we need to see if we have a great success...." Jonathan paused and looked at around and sighed "...or a great failure."

 Maria chuckled nervously "What can be worse then this?"

 "Extinction." Telis spoke with a blank stare

 "These halls are so creepy. The years I've been here I never seen these halls they seem like a modern version of medieval castle walls" Jason included

 "Hey guys look we have to either turn right or left.Its the end of the hallway." Laney yelled out

 "Well,the left one says something like President room and the other says research room." Maria looked at everyone pointing right.

The small room was filled with clean white tables,chairs,test tubes,warning posters,and well pretty much what's in a basic research room ; surprisingly no
living species. My only goal right now is- 

I hear footsteps coming from the other door as it's the reason why I lost what I was thinking . I got startled that the noises become closer it seems to be only one person or 54. I honestly was to scared to check at first so I kneeled near a table and crawled over to check

I couldn't believe my eyes it was my darling Toria. Her eyes, you could tell were the eyes of 54 a clear purple which stood out very well.Her hair messy but still as long as it used to be, her clothes were a bit tore up which wouldn't matter to me. I've seen her through almost everything.

 "Oh,I miss you so much my love we'll be together soon." I whispered to her as I laid my self against the strong glass door on the other side of her putting my hands on the glass.

"I really would love to let you in here. But I know you would make me your zombie lover." I chuckled as the fear ran through my body I felt at peace it was quiet in stillness and I just pressed my self on the glass looking at Toria and smiling till I felt to cry.

"Shh, I think I heard something. Everyone get ready just in case." Laney prepped her gun and ran down the hall as the others followed 

"Isn't that the door?? Yes. This of meant they we searching a cure." Maria danced excited as ever

" This, this is want Xavier wanted us to do." Jonathan patted Zack's back while Zack sighed

 "Did anyone hear that? I think someone is in here." Laney and Telis prepare to open the cold door as everyone was waiting  

I felt like this could go on forever , the streaks from my hand stayed on the glass as they slid down. I wasn't afraid I kept quiet and gave eye contact which could probably tell novels on novels.

I gasped as I seen Toria put her hand up to mine. I was interrupted by hearing something open the door from where I came from to hear...

"THERE'S A 54 ITS ATTACKING XAVIER" As Laney took her gun and shot at me

As fast as I heard time slowed down to see Zack in front of me....
