Dominique had gotten herself in detention for the 4th time this week. At this rate she would be expelled by next Monday. As usual her sassy attitude had gotten her in trouble. AGAIN. But, this time it wasn't her fault! Belch Huggins was so asking to be slapped.

She looked around the classroom to see the usual group of delinquents. Henry Bowers, Victoria Manning, Patrick Hockstetter, and... Stanley Uris?

Dominique was genuinely shocked at the sight of the bird lover sitting beside her. It wasn't that Stan was perfect, but that he just wasn't that type of kid. He never really did anything to get in trouble. Trouble seemed to come to him. Stan glanced at her and she quickly looked away, hoping she didn't look as if she was staring. When she looked up again he was looking away, and oddly enough she was kind of disappointed.

Oh well. Dominique would have to find something else to entertain herself with. Like watching Bowers throw spitballs at an unexpecting Mr. Kole. But Henry also got bored of this activity and decided he needed a new victim. He turned to Dominique from across the classroom with an evil smirk. The evilest of smirks. The flying gunk bombs soared over clinging to her clothes and hair.

"What the hell, Bowers!" She shouted in disgust.
"What's wrong, Domi? Is you're period blood running to you're brain?" Dominique was about to lose it, but before someone's head was broken Stan stood up.
"Leave her alone, okay?"
"Or what? You'll finally get a nose job? You fucking Jew!"
"Henry!" Mr. Kole shouted, flabbergasted at the racist remark. "Next weeks detention!"

Dominique grinned at Stan beside her.
"I can't believe you stood up for me!"
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I?" He asked.
She just smiled at him. "Thanks Stan. You're the man."
