Hanging out at the lake with Bill and the Loser's Club was a lot more fun than Courtney had expected. She looked around at the new friends she had made and smiled to herself.
Stan Uris was sitting on the side watching birds and Richie Tozier was splashing everyone in the water and making stupid puns. Mike and Ben were having a competition to see who could make the biggest splash and Beverly Marsh was teaching Eddie how to dive.
Courtney tentatively glanced at Bill and they shared a shy smile. Courtney had liked him for a while and this moment was the first time in a while that she had gotten to spend time with him.
"Hey C-c-Courtney, do you w-wanna go d-d-d-dry off b-b-before we have t-t-to go back?" Bill asked. Honestly Courtney would rather stay in that lake forever but she nodded, and they both crawled out of the water. As they were both drying off Richie started to swagger towards them.
"Hey Bill! Don't you like Courtney?" He asked. Courtney felt her cheeks turn red.
"W-w-well... um... maybe..." Bill rambled. Richie squealed in delight.
"I knew it all a long!!! You like her!!" The other Losers watched Bill as looked at the ground in embarrassment.
"I d-do like you C-courtney. I'm sorry I n-n-n-never said anything."
Courtney grinned back at him. "It's ok. I like you too."
