The looks I received was more then enough for me to know I was both in trouble and about to be praised. Both my guardians, and the rest of the Avengers stood up. Many looking to each other on what to do.
Steve looked to Tony with a slightly unsure face before making his way to me. My eyes isn't darted to the other side of the room as I pretended nothing happened. Nor did I hear anything.
"Why didn't you let us know you were awake" he asked. Placing a hand on my shoulder. Tony slowly walking up behind him.
"No real reason. You guys looked busy, interrupting you seemed rude" I quickly half lied. I honestly only did it out of shear boredom, which quickly turned into a game of learning more about myself.
It was funny hearing about Spider-Man become a big topic within the Avengers. I always thought I'd be a low level vigilant for the rest of my days. At least until I kicked the bucket or was unable to preform my superhero duties to New York. So hearing that I'm wanted. Just to join them as a comrade was nice. But if also leave the reason to be questioned. Why all of a sudden now. Why not back when I had defeated all those big time criminals. Why did S.H.I.E.L.D want me now. It really made no sense if you thought about it. It only made me want to hide my identity even more.
The look of something akin to pride and nervousness showed across Steve's face. Most likely for these following two reasons. Pride being, I was considerate about others and had manners. Then the other one was what Fury might do after learning how long I was there.
I looked back to Tony who seemed nothing other then proud, while the rest all shared Steve's look.
I held back as sigh as I watched them all give each other looks before looking at me.
"Hey sport. How about you go to your room. Since it's your first day here. You don't have to go to school" Tony said in suggestion. Nudging Steve to agree. He looked reluctant before giving in and agreeing. I only nodded before heading up to my room.
Little do they know I can hear them.
"He was really there that long and I never noticed him" Natasha said. Everyone humming in response. I couldn't see them but I was pretty sure Fury was smirking. It sent shivers down my spine. I could just feel the black mail from here.
"He couldn't really understand what we are doing. Plus even if he did. It's not like it's too secret" Clint added.
By this point I was just bored. Who knew I could get bored hearing people talk about me. Maybe when things get spiced up I'll start listening again.
I was silently humming to myself in the quiet room. Listening to only the sound of my voice, purposely blocking the sound of them talking down stairs.
Until I heard the sound of what I thought to be a loud roar. Followed by the sound of glass busting.
I jumped up. Not expecting that to suddenly happen. Especially when I wasn't listening for it and I was apparently no where near the danger or would have been, since my spidey sense didn't notify me in anyways. Not even a warning. I hurriedly ran to my door but before I could even open it. Tony and Steve pushed open the door. A slight worried look shining in their eyes.
"Peter. I want you to listen closely. Something has just happen. " Steve started but was cut off by Tony.
"We want you to stay in this room and don't leave it unless you are in immediate danger. Do you understand?" Both held a sternness to their voices. Both looking in hurried expression for my answer.
