Alisha's POV

I slowly opened my eyes, and took in my surroundings. I was lying on my bed, wearing my cream, nightgown.
It was daytime, and I had a faint memory, of what had happened.

I slowly, but carefully pulled my left arm closer, towards me. I lifted my sleeve and had a look at my mark. It had fully expanded, the lightbulb was the same size, however the roots that were protruding had stretched right down towards my elbow.

I didn't know what to think, at that moment of time. Before, i could even wonder what this mark was about, my thoughts were interrupted, when Gabriel walked into the room.

"Hey, Al, how's it going," he asked me softly, whilst looking down at my mark.

"How long was I out for?" I abruptly questioned. I hadn't answered his question but I wasn't into small talk.

"You were out for a week exactly, at first we were extremely scared, but later on, when we realised your heartbeat was steady, we calmed down and assumed you had gone into a somewhat coma." He replied, almost instantly.

"Do you have any idea what 'this' is!" I asked whilst pointing at my so called unique 'mark'.

"Well, we looked at all of our marks and we made a few plans, a few ideas, wondered how they link, everything we discovered is in the box room, of the apartment."

I was glad they had started, thinking of the possible outcomes or theories behind this weird incident, because I don't think my body would be able to take any more of it.

There was a sudden bang at the door, Hunter and Alayna, instantly ran into the room.

"Everyone, ok?" Hunter questioned, a little out of breath from running into the room.

Everyone was too nervous to reply so we nodded instead. Alayna came and sat next to me, her legs shivering, from anxiousness.

I placed my hand on her knee and smiled at her, she looked at me, and nodded, trying to calm, herself down.

Hunter and Gabriel left to attend whatever it was waiting at the door for us.

They came back shortly, carrying a large metal cube.

"We need to figure this out quick, guys, it could be a bomb!" Gabriel warned us.

I quickly moved from my bed and towards the glass table which lay in my room, where Hunter, had placed this abstract item.

Alayna used her hands to feel all around the cube, looking for any extra pocket or opening. Hunter hit the cube several times, seeing if it would reveal anything. Gabriel glared at the cube, wondering what it was and I, I glanced around the cube, looking for a mark of some sort.

"Uhh, I can't find anything," Alayna grunted.

Gabriel and Hunter replied with the same disappointed grunt.

It was only when they all moved a few steps from the cube, that I saw something.

"Wait, guys I think I might have found something." I said, with a tinge of excitement running through my words.

I looked at the box, it had six faces and I had spotted something in the corner of the face that was nearest to Gabriel.

"Gabriel, look at the corner of the box, do you see any letters, whilst you look, Alayna grab a pen and paper and write down any letters we find."
The two of them, looked at me confused, but followed my instructions.

"We, N, e, e, d, U!"

I told Alayna to write the letters I said down, as well as the numbers.

"Ok, guys we got it!"

It says 'we need you!' But what did it mean?

After an hour or so of thorough pondering, Hunter became hot headed and chucked the metal cube, outside.

It dropped with a large bang, we all stepped far away as it erupted into tiny pieces.

We were all heading to go back into the living room when Gabriel shouted.

"I've, found something."

We all stopped in our paths and instantly headed towards where Gabriel stood with a crumpled paper in his hand.

The note read the following;

'A car will arrive tomorrow, at midday waiting to carry the four of you to Wales, you have been cordially invited by the king and queen to take part in a royal tradition, that is celebrated with commoners. You must all attend with some luggage for the following months.

Yours sincerely... '

It was signed off with a squiggly print, which was hard to read.

"We are free!" Hunter shouted in absolute delight.

Gabriel waited for Hunter to finish dancing, before saying "No, we are most definitely not free, this will give us a chance to explore who we are and what our marks are, I doubt they remember us as outcasts, so go with the flow!"

Everyone hummed in agreement and made their way to their rooms.

I guess we were leaving! But what our future held was something none of us could even wonder.
