Mark, Youngjae, and Yugyeom sat together at a table in the school cafeteria. The three had a system for lunch. Yugyeom would bring stuff from home, and Mark and Youngjae would each get two different lunch menu items. They all exchange the food between them. As they began to do so, Jackson and his friends can over.

"Hey. Can we sit here? Some freshmen took the table we usually eat at." He jerked his head in the direction of the table. They looked over and saw a group of younger students eating and talking.

Mark took it upon himself to answer. "Sure."

Jackson smiled as a thank you, and the three of them sat down. BamBam sat in front of Yugyeom at the end, JB in front of Youngjae, and Jackson in front of Mark.

It was kind of awkward and quiet at first, then they all loosened up a bit. BamBam and Yugyeom were being all lovey-dovey, gawking over each other. JB and Youngjae didn't talk much at all. Not until the topic of grades were brought up and Youngjae offered to tutor JB. Mark and Jackson's conversation consisted of Brazil facts, which Mark was writing on a napkin as Jackson looked them up on his phone, and random other topics like sports and music.

Mark really wanted to talk about the kiss- about the two of them, but Jackson said to ignore it. The secret was bubbling up inside of Mark. He wanted to tell the boy sitting in front of him that he loved him, but he couldn't. Anyway, if Jackson did want to talk about about the kiss, he probably wouldn't want to in such a public place.

Mark and Jackson ran out of things to talk about. They both stopped talking. Jackson took a sip of water and Mark looked down the table to see what the others were talking about. Youngjae was talking to JB about how to improve his math skills. Jaebum looked like he was in a trance, staring at the younger boy telling him all these tips and tricks. Farther down, Yugyeom and BamBam were still making googly eyes at each other. They thought they were being secretive about it, but anyone could tell what they were doing from a million miles away.

At that moment, Mark felt kind of lonely. He wanted somebody to hold him like Yugyeom and BamBam hold each other. He wanted somebody to tutor him on stuff he didn't know like Youngjae does for JB. All Jackson could do for Mark was play with his hair, share information about Brazil, and act like a passionate kiss didn't happen.

Mark got up out of his seat to throw his trash away. He stopped walking when he heard Jackson call his name. (he could get used to that😏)

"Mark! Wait, let me come with you."

The two walked together to the trash cans. (how romantic lol) Jackson stopped Mark before they could get back to their seats. His expression changed drastically.

"Hey, I want to apologize to you about the... kiss... I wanted to forget it because I was scared, but I just couldn't. I don't know much about myself, but there is one thing I'm sure of..." he looked away for a second, then looked Mark in the eyes. "...I really do like you, and I'd like it if we could be more than friends."

Mark's heart started to flutter. It started beating fast. It was trying to fly away, it was so happy. Mark couldn't help the dumb grin that formed on his (perfect) face. He was obviously lost for words.

"U-um... Well yea. I'm- I- sure!" He let out dopey laughs in between the sentence, making the situation more weird.

They walked back to the table as if nothing happened. For the rest of lunch they said nothing about their new relationship. History class, on the other hand, was quite nice. They laughed and talked all period, making Mr. Park suspicious yet glad at the same time. They also made plans to meet at Mark's house again on Friday to "work on the project".

Even though they had to keep their relationship a secret, like Yugyeom and BamBam, they were still happy. It was like a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.

When Mark got home, he saved Jackson's name into his phone differently. It was now "Jackson👑😍💕".
