A/N: This fraternity is purely fictional but if it is the name of a real one, this is in no way a representation of the fraternity, just my idea of a frat house. Also, trigger warning for mention of abuse.

FLASHBACK

"HEY LOOK ITS A NEW PLEDGE!!" A voice called as soon as Cas walked through the doors of the Sigma Theta Delta frat house. A sea of guys around the age of twenty crowded around Cas. A pungent odor of liquor and weed followed them.

"Hey dude what's your name?" A voice called from the crowd.

"My name is Castiel Novak. I'm from Massachusetts and I'm here for pre-med." Cas replied, oozing self confidence.

"Sweet my dude, you're gonna love being an STD, cause we throw the most insane parties!" The same guy responded. Everyone cheered at the statement. He had dark hair and a little bit of stubble. He introduced himself as Michael Milligan.

A very drunk guy jumped on the pool table and yelled, "WHO'S READY FOR THE HAZING TONIGHT?" All of Cas' new frat brothers whooped and hollered at the guy's question.

Castiel's eye suddenly landed on a guy at the front of the crowd. He was tall, with dirty blonde hair and the greenest sour-apple, forest green eyes Cas had ever seen. Cas began to blush. "Hey man you good?" Michael grabbed Cas' shoulder. He looked back at Michael and smiled, "Yeah, I'm good, it's just a bit warm in here. Hey, where's the water?"

"It's right over there, big guy, and all forms of alcohol are in the downstairs fridge with the sodas." Cas thanked him and grabbed himself a cup and some ice from the freezer. He thought to himself, who is that guy? Cas smiled to himself as he walked back to the group, where two guys were already doing keg stands at 4:30 pm.

Cas asked Michael, "Where do you get all the beer from?"

"That guy over there," Michael responded, pointing to the guy Cas was
transfixed on just a moment ago, "Dean Winchester. His family business is brewing beer and selling it. We get a few kegs from it every week as long as Dean's doing well, which is great because he's a genius, even if he doesn't look, or act, the part."

Dean. That was his name. Cas decided he wouldn't forget his name, or face, for a long time.

Cas had come out as gay to his closest friends and family when he was 16. Only they knew it, and Cas wasn't about to share that with his new fraternity brothers, because he knew the torment would never end. Castiel and his family, which was just him, his brother Samandriel, and his mother, Becky, had to transfer to a new school for senior year. His best friend, Uriel, hadn't accepted him, and proceeded to tell the whole school. People in the hall laughed at him, called him slurs, and even tried to carve the word homo into his back with an exacto knife. Luckily, Samandriel walked into the bathroom before they began and called for a hall monitor. Both suffered black eyes because of the incident, but nobody was scarred, at least physically.

"SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS VS FRESHMEN AND SENIORS BEER PONG TOURNAMEEEEEEENNNTT!" The same guy who announced the hazing roared over the crowd. He later introduced himself as Lucifer, but no one knew Michael grabbed Cas' wrist and led him over to where about 20 guys were standing. Michael was a senior and helped Cas with everything.

When it was Castiel's turn, his opponent happened to be a somewhat familiar green eyed, freckle faced, gorgeous junior. Dean was the reigning champion at beer pong.

"You're going down, freshie. I'm the current champ, have fun losing to me, sucker." Dean remarked with an arrogant smile and a hit of flirtation.

"You wish bro." Castiel challenged.

The match was intense, neither man pulling ahead by more that 2 points. In the end, Cas was named the victor, along with the rest of the Freshmen and Seniors.

His teammates lifted him on their shoulders and paraded around, yelling "CASTIEL" over and over again.

After the party came the hazing, where Cas and his fellow inductees had to go around asking every old woman if the curtains matched the drapes, then had to do a keg stand and run 10 suicides immediately after. It was brutal.

During the two years that Cas and Dean were in STD, Cas developed a major crush on Dean, but kept it a huge secret. He never let on. But when Dean graduated and Cas was stuck for the rest of pre-med, and three years of nursing school, Cas was heartbroken. He accepted and believed that he'd never see Dean again.

REAL TIME

"Wow, these are some serious puncture wounds." Anna remarked. Cas nodded as he wrapped gauze over Dean's battered head. Cas promised to himself right then and there that he was gonna save Dean's life even if his feeling were not reciprocated.
