Willow's Choice

Valor gave me his shirt after we had gone swimming and now he and I were walking back to his house slowly as we talked. Raven and Cassius left to hunt since it was almost dark and not many animals were nocturnal.

"You know, you look even prettier when you aren't frowning ." He said as he held the door open for me.

I rolled my eyes, laughing as I shoved him playfully, and he gripped my hand, pulling me against his chest, his maroon eyes staring into mine as he leaned toward me. I hated that I was just as curious, but I found myself slowly recognizing that an attraction to Valor had began to bud in me.

He ran his nose along my neck, his lips grazing his mark softly, a pulse of want running through me as I gripped his shoulder on instinct. The sensation clouded my mind as a spark of desire welled up in me. I knew this was our mate bond pushing us to get closer mentally and physically, the drive to breed, being something that came with the claim.

I stared at Valor, not even realizing we were inside now he had me pinned between him and the door that had long been closed.

"Don't you need to go hunt?" I whispered a breath away from him. I could feel the unspoken tension between us and I my skin tingled with anticipation.

"The only thing I want to eat is in front of me." He said, his eyes burning an amber color and I felt his lips lingering as if he were waiting for permission.

He was my mate and I found myself beginning to wonder how it would feel if I gave into this ever so slightly.

I had yet to kiss him and yet he had me on edge it seemed, hell if it was the mate bond I didn't care at this point. It wasn't what I initially wanted, but this was the present and I felt good about it and I trusted Pierre's judgement. If he were his successor, he had to have a good head on his shoulders and I trusted that and Valor. There's something about him I find myself drawn to know more of.

I tilted my head up, letting my lips graze his lightly before initiating our kiss entirely. I moaned softly at the feel of his lips against mine, pleasure bubbling in my center as we kissed, but things began changing as Valor soon began to show eagerness in our kiss, gripping my thigh and hooking my leg around his as he pressed himself against me, his arousal evident as he began kissing me fervently, his tongue brushing against my lip, asking for entry which I allowed. He tasted unusually sweet, his aroma and taste wrapping around me like a glove.

He moved his kisses across my jaw and down my neck, my grip on him tightening greedily as I relished in the feeling of his lips against my skin and I found myself craving more as I angled my neck to give him access and then as soon as it began it was gone.

I looked up to see Valor in my fathers grip, my father's eyes obsidian black as he growled in Valor's face and the next second he was throwing a punch at him.

You could hear the sound my fathers fist made as it connected with Valor's face, my father's growl of pain filling the room as he held his arm against his chest, but that didn't stop him from using his imposing size against Valor who was slightly leaner.

I growled, intercepting my father and shoving him away from my mate.

I growled as I stood in front of Valor, my eyes only darting to the side when my mother, Giselle, and Pierre ran in, my Aunt Alina and Uncle Daniel following shortly.

My father looked at me in disbelief.

"Willow, move. I will no longer let this leech force you into bed."  My father growled as he stared at Valor.

"I kissed him!" I said.

I watched my fathers expression morph into disgust as he stared at me.

"You want to sleep with this stranger? It's like I don't even know who you are anymore." He said.

"Kieran, please calm down. You came here to see your daughter. Willow is a grown woman and she is smart enough to make her own decisions. Trust that we raised her well. He is her mate. They will lead our pack and his coven together. This completely normal, they're a mated couple, it would be unhealthy if they didn't have a desire for one another. This is his house. You are in the wrong here and you owe this man and your daughter an apology." My mother growled at my father.

I could see the pride and stubbornness in my fathers eyes. He wasn't going to say sorry to anyone anytime soon and anger etched itself into me as I sighed out in disbelief.

"Dad. I love you, but until you learn how to control your temper around my mate and in his house, you are not welcome here." I said to my father.

My father didn't waste his time in leaving, Daniel waving as he left with him, my mother and Aunt,  however decided to stay for dinner.

I smiled at the sight of my cousin Lily who came inside to accompany her mother. She came running to me as she saw me and I hugged her. 

I chuckled as she stared at Valor as we pulled away and she wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"If you ladies will excuse me, I am going to go hunt. I will see you all again shortly." Valor said, proceeding to show off as he practically flew out the door.

My mother smiled at me.

"So, I take it you two are getting...acquainted." My mother said.

"Don't do that." I said.

"What?" My mother asked.

"I got the sex talk on my sixteenth birthday, I don't need another one." I said chuckling as I slid on some shorts.

"You weren't having sex back then. " she said.

"And thanks to Dad, I'm not having it now either." I said.

"So, you want to?" My mother asked quietly.

"At first, no. But today I spent some time with him. I feel comfortable around him, I guess. I figured, he's nice to look at, he's already my mate...so I kissed him and I liked it. Is that such a crime?" I asked.

"Is he a good kisser?" Lily chimed in, interrupting my mother who looked like she wanted to know my opinion.

I smirked as I nodded curtly as my face seemed to heat suddenly and Lily squealed, clapping as she jumped up and down and I brushed my long light brown hair behind my ear.

"I'm glad you're having fun. Now let's make some dinner." My mom said with a grin.
