"You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That's what scares you most."

JAHA ARRIVED LIKE A DAMN MADMAN JUST BEFORE DAWN.

He was covered in raw cuts, shirt torn and face bruised. Naomi was brushing out Reign's coat when it happened, not able to get a wink of sleep with a grounder army on the move. Reign had snorted against Noe's hair, sending it in a wave across her face when she saw him.

Gods, she hated that man.

He stumbled towards Abby Griffin, who had somehow made her way through all the chaos. Bellamy came to stand behind Naomi, one hand placed on Reign's side. The horse snorted at the attention.

The moon was lowering gently on the horizon, covering the trees with its pale light. Clouds streaked along the dark sky.

"The Commander," Jaha was saying. Naomi stood to attention at that, leaving her hand to caress down Reign's mane. "Sends a message. Leave, or die."

At this, Noe walked from the cover of safety. She ran her hand along Bellamy's wrist as she left, a gentle indication of her being okay. She stalked across the clearing and past Abby and the guards. The girl approached the fence.

"Naomi," Jaha said in recognition of the girl who had been raised alongside his son. Noe promptly ignored him, eyes gazing over the treetops. Soon, they would be here.

She turned on her heel and staring at Abby. She placed both her hands on her hips. "So, it's go time. What are we going to do?" Kane nodded, approaching from a direction with his arms crossed. Naomi kept her eyes firmly locked on Abby, feeling overwhelmed in the presence of the two people she possibly hated most in the world. She relaxed immediately when Bellamy placed an arm around her shoulder, and Clarke moved to stand beside her.

The three leaders of the 100 vs the three leaders of the Ark.

"We should talk about this somewhere else," Kane said. Naomi crossed her arms as they were led into a section of the Ark.

Noe took a seat beside the table, Bellamy coming to rest a hand against her back. She stiffened as Finn entered the room next to Clarke. Major Byrne closed the door, stepping inside next to David Miller. Her eyes narrowed as they laid upon Naomi. "She can't be in this room. For all we know, she's sending information to the grounders."

Naomi cocked her head. "Hey. I risked my ass to warn you about them."

Byrne gestured to her, locking eyes with Abby and Kane. "She shouldn't hear anything classified." Noe opened her mouth in a snarl, but Abby cut her off before she could speak further.

"She's trustworthy. And she's the best chance we have of learning more about the grounders."

Naomi glared at Byrne. "Damn right."

Kane sat down. "So how are we figuring this out? The Commander's message was clear: we leave, or we die."

David Miller piped up from the corner, arms crossed. "My son is with the 47 trapped in that mountain. We can't leave them. Can we fight off the grounders?" He turned to Naomi pleadingly.

"Look, we've been through this exact problem once before. We were given the option to leave or die. We tried to leave too late and we got slaughtered." She gazed up to meet Abby's eyes, shaking her head. "We have nothing on them—yes, we have guns—but they have thousands of warriors ready to fight to the death for their Commander and horses. Battle-wise, we don't stand a chance." Noe leant back into her chair. "I can convince the Commander to give us more time. I can try to convince her to let us stay. But she will not let us live here with Finn." Her eyes darted over to him momentarily.
