"She was a beautiful dreamer. The kind of girl, who kept her head in the clouds, loved above the stars and left regret beneath the earth she walked on."

"WHY ARE WE KEEPING HIM SAFE AGAIN?"

Naomi sat hunched against the dropship wall, elbows resting on her knees as she toyed with her sword. Bellamy stood across the room and Raven sat in one of the seats against the corner. Dust shifted around the open space, catching against the gentle streams of light that whispered through the doorway. The air smelt like dirt, blood, and a fair amount of death.Good to be home.

Bellamy looked over at her. "Because he's our friend."

Naomi gave him an unimpressed look. Her fingers brushed along her cheek as she rested her chin into her palm. "He killed innocent people."

Raven snapped from across the room, "And does that mean he deserves to die?" Naomi raised her eyebrow, staring at Raven with unforgiving eyes. Her fingers played against her knees. Her gaze softened slightly.

"If we go by that rule, then a lot of good people deserve to die for the things they've done." Naomi locked eyes with Bellamy briefly. A sigh escaped her lips and she lolled her head to look at the ceiling. "But do we all deserve to die for the actions he committed?"

Raven turned away.

Hours seemed to pass of them sitting in the empty dropship. Clarke and Finn should have been right behind them—but so far, there was no sign of them. Bellamy and Raven talked in a hushed tone, clearly worried about their friends. All Naomi could do was hope that they were okay.

Then she got done with hoping.

Naomi pushed herself up, tucking her sword into his sheath. She moved forward to stand beside Raven and Bellamy. "They're not here yet—they must have run into trouble." She looked towards the entrance. "We shouldn't have split up."

Raven glared at Naomi. She stepped towards the taller girl. "Really? Cause it doesn't seem like you really cared."

She crossed her arms. "Hey, I don't want everyone to die."

"Well, it sure seems like you're hellbent on that."

Naomi scoffed. "You're kidding me, right?" Raven's gaze didn't soften. Naomi clenched her jaw and stared into Raven's eyes, nose flaring. "I want to keep our people—my family—alive, but Finn is threatening that. So far, all he's done is killed the people I care about." Her eyes flickered between Raven's for a moment before she dropped her arms to her side. She turned away, towards the dropship entrance.

"Finn's my family."

Naomi pursed her lips and dragged her gaze down, shameful. How could she take another person's family from them? She clenched her jaw. Her head snapped towards the doorway as someone approached. Bellamy and Raven raised their guns towards the entrance. Noe trained her eyes on the doorway.

The parachute pushed to the side and a figure emerged. Murphy stopped in his tracks as he saw the guns trained on him. "Hey, hey, hey," he said, raising his hands.

"Murphy," said Bellamy.

"Oh look, it's Trash Prince."

Murphy turned towards Naomi and raised his eyebrows at her. "Blood Dove."

"Blood Dove," repeated Naomi. That suits me better. "Is that your name for me now?"

The words played on his lips. That suits you better. Instead, he raised an eyebrow and nodded. Naomi detected the smallest smile on his face.
