Reader's POV

"Ack....ACHOO!" I sniffed and blew my nose. Why did I have to get a flu today out of all days..

I laid in bed, tossing and turning, thinking about what to say to Kazuto.

Kazuto was someone very precious to me and today was actually our 2nd Anniversary. He had been very pumped up about it and had already planned since long ago.
I sighed, reaching for my phone.
It's gonna be a long day...

"Hello..? Kazuto?" I stared at the ceiling. He was going to be so disappointed. "I can't make it today.." I said, feeling guilty. Kazuto's voice suddenly grew louder, filling with anxiety.

"I'm coming over." He stated and put down the call.

Thinking about the fact that Kazuto could get sick because of me, I frowned. I pulled the covers over me and went back to sleep.

Kazuto's POV

"Click click." The sound of the door opening echoed through the hallway. I made my way into the house. "Why is it so silent?" I wondered. (y/n) was usually not this quiet, not saying that she was noisy or anything. "(y/n)..." I called out. Is she not home?

I looked towards her room door which was closed shut. Making my way closer, I slowly turned the knob. "(y/n)?" I opened the door to the sight of a sleeping (y/n). Her face was flushed pink and she was breathing heavily. My heart sank, I didn't like to see her suffering.

Placing a hand on a forehead, I felt a rush of heat seeping into my skin. I need to do something for her. I made my way to the fridge and brought out an ice pack and wrapped it in cloth. (y/n) flinched as I carefully place it on her forehead.

I sat down next to her and held her hand. This was not enough. I whipped out my phone and called Asuna. She hanged up.

Usually, Asuna would cook for me because it's always better tasting.  She must be busy. However, I'm still inexperienced...But I wouldn't know how it would turn out if I don't try.

(y/n)'s POV

I woke to the a fresh aroma of porridge and my stomach started to growl. "Did someone break in my house.." I stood up and made my way out of the room with my weak legs.
I looked around for a weapon to defend myself against this thief who was takin advantage of the sick me. I grabbed a stick which was close by and limped to the kitchen. "Haiiiya!!" I immediately tried to smash that thieving bastard and I got a shout in return.
"Eh? Kazuto?" I gasped.
"(y/n)..what are you doing?" He said panting, one hand holding grabbing the stick and the other stirring some substance in a pot.

"I..i thought someone like a thief broke into my house..Sorry." (Y/n) said apologetically.

Kazuto pats my head and smiled,"It's okay,just lay on the sofa and rest.The food will be ready soon."

I nodded my head and lay on the sofa. I turned my head and stared at kazuto's wide back, putting a lot of concentration on the porridge. I could feel the intensity between him and the porridge. The air was stuffy.

"It's ready!" Kazuto exclaimed excitedly, glancing at me with eyes of expectation. I'm sure he just wants me to praise him. I took a mouthful of porridge and tried to savour the taste. "Delicious~" I complimented him. Although it was just an average porridge, It tasted amazing because I could feel the amount of effort and feelings he put into making this for me.
Kazuto's face immediately lit up and I could tell that he was happy but was holding back.
I smiled, "next time you can cook for me again."
My heart fluttered at his grin. "I promise that it'll be better next time." Kazuto swore. So he could tell what I was thinking.

I gave him a tight lovingly hug,"Get sick now so i could take care of you♡"

Kazuto's face flushed and cover his face."D-Don't say that!And i don't want to burden you so.."

"Hehe cute~♡" i grinned.
