I'm not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts
Some superhero
Some fairytale bliss
Just something I can turn to
Somebody I can kiss
I want something just like this
---- Something Just Like This, Chainsmokers ft. Coldplay

Practice was actually fairly light, which was a bit surprising. Luke still seemed annoyed with him and Brennan wouldn't even look at him, but Grayson's mood was too good to let it get him down. He'd even mostly kept his mind from wandering to Cait and the date he was planning.

"Okay, guys, take thirty minutes to stretch and change and then be in the meeting room," Coach Capel instructed. "Coach needs to talk to you."

Grayson made his way to the training room to get his post practice hamstring stretches in and have Jose check his foot. Luke huffed straight past the training room and headed to the locker room.

Luke was going to change. And then he was going to have a conversation with a certain red-headed vixen.

Cait was taking an easy run on the treadmill, still babying her shin splints a bit. Her earbuds were in, so she jumped when a rather pissed looking Luke Kennard stepped directly into her line of vision.

She pulled out the earbuds and cocked her head at him. "Problem?"

"Yes, there's a damn problem. What the hell do you think you're doing?" he hissed. "Why are you messing with him like this?"

Cait couldn't have been more surprised. "Wh - Luke, what are you talking about?"

"You just want to say you bagged the star of the team, is that it? Because we all know you aren't looking for a relationship."

Now Cait got mad. "If I just wanted to screw the star of the team, I'd have slept with you, dumbass." She kept her voice low.

Luke rolled his eyes. "Nice try. I thought I knew you. I never thought you'd screw him over just to have some fun. That's all this is to you, isn't it? A little fling to cure your boredom."

Cait's face went white. She stopped the treadmill. No one had ever implied what Luke was implying about her. But she swallowed hard and responded.

"It's not a fling, Luke. I - I care about him. I do."

"First I've heard about it," Luke snorted. "So you suddenly decided to just jump straight into bed? You're gonna fuck his head up worse than it already is. He doesn't do casual hook-ups."

"Neither do I!" Cait was done keeping her voice low. "And I can't believe that you, of all people, think you have any right to lecture me." She laughed derisively. "The consummate fuckboy is going to comment on my choices? What a hypocrite. Get out, Luke. I mean it."

Luke opened his mouth to respond, but suddenly turned on his heel and strode out of the gym. Cait realized the reason when she saw Amile headed her way.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked gently.

"Never been called slut before but I guess there's a first time for everything," she sighed shakily.

"Matty and I will talk to him. He'll come around. Right now we have another problem to deal with. You know what Coach is gonna say at this meeting, don't you?" Amile studied her.
