We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen still

They'd arrived in New York, practiced and had dinner. Luke and Grayson were in their hotel room.

"Cait get in okay?" Luke questioned.

"Yep. Must be nice to have a Manhattan penthouse at your disposal," Grayson rolled his eyes affectionately.

"Jack in town?" Luke asked.

"Not yet. Probably in a day or two. I'm just glad it worked out that Cait could make it up here. Gives her a chance to meet with her coach, who's on his way back from the World Cup events in Europe and to stop by the company headquarters, but still make our games too. You want the first shower?"

"Go ahead, man." Luke smiled.

Grayson went to the bathroom and shut the door. Luke heard the water start and laid on his bed.

Suddenly, Grayson's phone started blowing up, buzzing nonstop. Luke knew he probably shouldn't look, but he did. And when he saw the texts, he grabbed his own phone.

He quickly fired a text to Coach K, telling him to get to their room. He called his mom and told her to get over to Cait's penthouse right away. Then he called Cait on the landline to the penthouse, grateful that she had given him the number. She glanced at the caller ID, seeing a familiar number.

"Hey, Lu-" she didn't even get the greeting out of her mouth.

"What are you doing right now?" Luke snapped, his right hand fiddling feverishly with his hair.

"Just got out of the shower after I worked out. Luke, what's wrong? Is Gray okay?"

"Where is your phone?" He sounded frantic.

"It's right across the room. Did you try to call? I can go get-"

"No!" he practically bellowed. "Whatever you do, do not touch that phone. Don't even pick it up. Do you hear me? Promise me, Cait."

"Luke, you're scaring me. What's wrong?" she questioned.

"My mom is on her way over. Make sure the doorman knows to let her in," Luke directed quickly.

"Luke, did something happen to Gray? Or my dad?" Cait sounded on the verge of tears.

"No, just please try to stay calm and stay away from your phone." Luke heard a knock at his own door. "I gotta go, Cait, but please, do what I said."

Luke opened the door to a concerned looking Coach K. Scheyer was with him. He didn't say a word, just handed Grayson's phone over. He watched the two of them turn white.

"Jack's gonna commit a murder," Mike got out under his breath. "Where's Grayson?"

Luke pointed to the bathroom and then filled his Coach in on the things he had already done. Mike put a hand on his shoulder. "That was quick thinking, Luke. I'm going to call Jack. We're probably going to have to notify law enforcement."
