Recap:
Before, I would have been terrified of coming home late and getting punished. Never mind after SPRAYING a wall in town! I scrawled down my answers quickly except leaving out the spraying part. Instead I told him I ran into friends.
He looked up from the paper and at my hands.
"What's that smell?" He asked. Uh oh. He grabbed one of my hands and flipped it over. It was smeared with black and pink paint. Damn.
"Were you GRAFFITTING someone's wall?" He roared at me, totally angry. I shrugged and he released my hand. Glaring at me.
"You are GROUNDED, young lady! Get up to your room NOW!" He yelled at me, his face turning red. I sighed and trudged upstairs. Before, I would have been terrified of doing something wrong. I mean, I never have been grounded before. But now, now- I just didn't care anymore. My life was boring before. Same routine day in and day out. Well, except for Tucker. I NEEDED to be doing something at all times to keep my mind off of him. And doing bad things seemed to do the trick. I collapsed on my bed, already planning what I was going to do with the guys tomorrow...

*Three weeks later.*
I could see his face again. His tattered clothing. And my ring that I still wore on my left ring finger.
I sat up quickly, gasping for air. Only another nightmare. I looked at my clock and realised it was five o clock in the morning. I was turning into an insomniac. I only got up to five hours sleep a night now.
I sighed and swung my legs out of my bed. Maybe I could call Darren and his buds... I pulled my phone off of my bedside locker and scrolled through my list of contacts until I reached his name. I pressed 'call' and waited for it to start ringing.
"Hello?" I heard a groggy voice at the other end of the line. I opened my mouth to say 'Hey' and then I realised I couldn't. God Damn it! I hung up realising how stalkerish I probably sounded. Calling up and only breathing into the phone. I texted him instead.
'Sorry Darren man, I uh 4got about yano- the hole not talking thing- I was wondering if u wanted 2 carry out r plan now... early in the morn- no 1 around...! :D'
To tell you the truth, I had started being reckless to get my mind off of Tucker, but now it was fun. I had continued with my karate training and reached black belt, so I was fast and fit. I could outrun the cops if they spotted us, well, most of the time. If they were in cars, Darren had showed me the best hidey holes in town. The cops discovered a few but we were good most of the time. I'd even been brought to the police station six times in the last month. It's lucky that I'm a minor...
I jumped when I heard my phone go off. I glanced down to see it was a reply from Darren.
'Yea, sur! Ill meet u @ da place wher its goin down nd bring da guys!'
I smiled to myself before shutting my phone and throwing it on the bed. I dressed all in black and flicked my raggedy hair over my shoulder. It annoyed me now. I used to take so much pride in it before...
I grabbed my bag of things off of the floor in my closet and ran quietly downstairs. I ran out to my dad's car and hotwired it. There was no time for walking. I had never hotwired his car before and it got a little tricky but I eventually got it and slammed the hood back down. I threw my bag in the passenger seat and hopped in.
