Chapter 1

   Flashback

Me and Isabelle were turning the corner. We were silly and laughing our heads off as we ran threw the institute. We stopped outside my door.

" See ya later Isabelle" I say as I walk into the room Jace and I share. But nothing prepared me for this.

I stumble out of the room. Blindly, I make my way to Izzy's room. I pound on the door.

" Please Izzy, open up" I whisper. She opens the door. Her hair is messed up and her lips are swollen. Simon must be here. I don't care though. I fall into her arms. Suddenly I start sobbing.

" Clary? What's wrong?" I hear her ask.

" I walked in there, and Jace... Jace..." I just couldn't say it.

" Jace what?" I heard Simon coming out of the bathroom.

" Jace had another girl in his bed!" I wail. I can't take it anymore. I throw my head into Izzy's lap and heave and sob until I just sitting their like someone gasping for air.

" Clary, I'm so sorry this happened to you!" Isabelle says. All of a sudden she starts sobbing too.

" I can't believe it! My brother! He is such an asshole!"

I finally realize something. " Where Simon?" I ask.
