she is awfully isolated. That was exactly what i think when i first saw her staring out the library windows. i wasn't supposed to be there, but i was because that is the only section where i could find my favourite book.

she was there, too. holding that same book i was looking for. i stared at her for such a long time, not knowing the reasons to my actions. maybe it was her sad, melancholic face that had captured my eyes. it was beautiful. as she breathed in and out slowly, as if she has never been such alone before. i kept staring at her, while hiding behind one of the bookshelves.

after a while, i decided to approach her, either because i wanted to take the book i need or all i wanted to do is talk to her. hi, i said. she didn't even flinch an inch but calmly turn around to see who was greeting her. hi, i said again.

but she didn't reply.

she put the book down and left that library section. i was surprised.

she didn't notice me even once.

but since that day, i see her every day. my friends asked why should i pay attention to such a vague figure. i replied because we read the same book. seems childish? but it was the only think i can say, and perhaps what truly is the reason are too much to say.

you know her?

of course, we know her. she's Carol. Carol
Miranthea.
