I opened my eyes,
hoping to see
your sleeping face
as always.
The curve of your lips,
your perfect eyebrows
and that attractive closing
eyes.

Then you would
open your eyes,
making me
head over heels
for you
with your blue
eyes like the sky.
And the smile
sprang across your face,
seeing me
staring at you
at the start of the day.

But today was different.
When I opened my eyes
You were awakened,
sitting on the
edge of the bed,
with your
back facing me.
I watched you from behind,
as you
silently gazed outside the window.

I wondered
what was wrong,
and I feared
a lot.

Say, your voice echoed
across the corners
of the room.
'Will you love me,
if there's
smoke
in front of
my eyes?'
