Miley's POV

After Justin confessed his love for me, everything seemed perfect. Maybe even a little too perfect, but why complain? Everything was exactly how I wanted (and hoped) it'd be.

I was finally ungrounded. Mom thought it was pointless to ground me since I always had someone over, mostly Justin. I wasn't rebellious or bad, and I learned my lesson. Of course she still had no idea about Justin's real identity, or that we traveled to Canada a lot; but what she didn't know didn't hurt her.

Justin and I could finally be together without sneaking around. He didn't tell me about Max's death, Maya did but I feel like he hates me knowing he does that kind of stuff. I didn't see a killer in him, though. I at least tried to not think about how killing was linked to Jason McCann. But being able to actually be with him made so much easier.

Selena left us alone, believe it or not. Ever since the night of Max's death, she stopped. Infact, she was nice to me. We had decent conversations, and she was really sweet. She even told me she was interested in a new guy. Who? I have no idea, she wouldn't tell me. I only knew he went to a different school, and I was actually happy for her.

I made a couple new friends at school. Two girls who went by the names Olivia and Breanna. They were really sweet. We went out a lot after school while I waited for Justin to be free from his work. Unless if Justin picked me up from school, which was always a surprise. He always looked super sexy and I know there were always eyes watching. He was mine though, and it was official.

I saw Lindsey just about every weekend when she came to see Cody. I loved having her around, but the longest I ever did have her around for was an hour. Cody took her time up, but I understood since Justin took a lot of my time up. Jake came around whenever Noah did since he took her up, so it was about every two weeks. He was single now, which didn't surprise me. Apparently Becca was whoring around, which also didn't surprise me. He seemed happier though.

Justin's crew seemed to like and trust me, which made me happy. I was getting closer to Ryan, which was great. When Justin had to do stuff for Scooter, we hung out. At school, he was my friend as well since Justin stopped attending. Scooter treated me kindly, and according to Justin he knew I could be trusted. I never went to a deal with them, and I didn't want to but they did discuss details infront of me which honestly made it feel like the trust was real.

"Guess what today is?" Justin asked me while walking over to my bed.

I adjusted myself to sit up and looked at him.

  "December fifteenth." I answered.

"Correct, but do you know what else?" He questioned.

"Would you like to fill me in?"

"It's been a month since you have officially been mine."

  "Aw baby, happy one month."

I crawled over to the end of the bed where he was and sat on my knees. I smiled, and place a kiss on his lips.

"Happy one month." He said back with a smile.

"Thank you for making this such a great month, too."

"I could say the same to you."

He moved a strand of hair from my face, and placed his forehead against mine.

"You make me so happy, Miley." He whispered.

Before I could say something back, his lips were gently pressed against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed his lips back. There were a couple knocks on my open door. I stopped our kiss, and looked over to see my mom.
