"So when are we going to Michigan?" Lacey asks me.
I groan, running my hand through my hair. "You're not going. Only Larissa is and maybe Cameron."
She looks shocked for a second. "Why not me?"
"Because I don't want you to come! " I say in annoyance.
She gives me a glare. If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now. "Well you're being a bitch."
I scoff. "That makes two of us."
I give her a sickly-sweet smile before sauntering off.
I can't believe she found out I was taking Larissa to Michigan. I guess it was kinda my fault though. I did tell Larissa when Lacey was around. That was really stupid. We're at the ice cream shop and I decided to tell her about Michigan, but little did I know that Lacey was hovering around our conversation.
I take a deep breath, walking back over to Larissa and Cameron. They give me questioning looks when I reach them.
"Lacey thought she was coming to Michigan with us," I inform them.
They both nod their heads in understanding.
"Would you mind if I came?" Cameron asks hopefully, taking a scoop of his ice cream.
"No. I'll just ask Melissa if I can get an extra ticket," I respond, licking the ice cream off my spoon.
"Great! Thanks," he says, giving me a grateful smile.
"It's not a problem," I respond, nonchalantly.
He gives me one last smile before turning to Larissa and they start talking. I stare out into space, only coming back into reality every time she giggles or every time he laughs.
My phone then goes off, snapping me out of my thoughts completely and scaring the fudge out of Larissa.
"Sorry," I say sheepishly, grabbing my phone and walking off.
"Hello?" I answer, not bothering to check the caller.
"Sav?" Melissa's voice rings through.
"Yeah?"
"Your boxes have arrived. I need you to come home and un-pack."
"Okay. I'm on my way," I say, before hanging up.
Making my way back to our table, I say good bye to everyone and then leave.
Driving home only takes me then minutes and soon enough I'm pulling in to the driveway of our house.
"Melissa?" I call through the house.
Dad comes out of the office. "She's in the baby's room."
I ignore him, heading up the stairs to the baby's room.
"Melissa?" I call out again.
"In here sweetie," I hear her call.
I step further into the room to find her putting Teddy bears around.
"Need help?" I offer.
She shakes her head. "No thanks. Is there something you needed."
"Oh yeah," I pause for a moment, trying to think what it was. "Where are my boxes?"
"They're in your room already."
"Okay," I respond, before turning to walk back out the door. "Oh and Melissa?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I have another ticket for Cameron?"
"Who's Cameron?" she asks, clearly confused.
