Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this chapter. By the way, (f/n) stands for fake name, you'll see. ;) - B

When you got to the small cornerstore, you started looking around.

"What are you here to get, Henry?" You asked.

"Oh, I don't know. I think my grandmom has to get some groceries, and maybe I'll get some candy!" He smiled up at you. You laughed. "How about you, (y/n)?"

"Well, I need some granola bars, some bread and peanut butter, chips, and you know, snacky things like that." You burst out. You weren't sure how to tell him that you really just needed the cheapest food that'll fill you up the most.

The three of you split up and walked around the store to find the things you need. Once you finished, Mary-Margeret - or, Snow - left to bring the groceries to her house. It was just you and Henry.

"Hey, wanna go to Mr. Gold's pawnshop?" Henry asked you. Mr. Gold. Rumplestiltskin. You weren't sure if you wanted to associate with him. After all, he is the Dark One, plus, he kind of gave you the creeps.

"Um... sure." You said, trying to sound cheerful. "Mr. Gold has a lot of cool stuff I guess. And I do have some money left!" Your mother's money, you thought.

...

The bell rang cheerfully when you walked in to Rumplestiltskin's shop. He came to the counter.

"Hello, Henry." He said, happy to see his grandson. Oh yeah, you know that too. "Who's your friend here?"

"This is-" Henry started, but you cut him off.

"(f/n)." You said. You weren't sure if you wanted this man to know your name. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Gold."

"Likewise, dearie." He smiled, holding out his hand. You took it, though you didn't want to. "Anything I can help you with?"

"I'm good, I'll just look around. Thank you." You said, trying your best to be polite. Mr. Gold walked to the back of the shop.

"What was that?!" Henry half-whispered to you. "Why didn't you tell him your real name?"

"I don't know, I guess with strangers I want to be careful."

"Well I was a stranger."

"You're different."

"How?"

"Well, let's just say I knew I could trust you. With Mr. Gold I'm not so sure."

Henry sighed. "Fine. You win."

You quietly laughed. "Thank you. And sorry."

"It's fine, (y/n). I was just curious. Now, let's look for something cool!"

He started looking around, and you slowly followed. You felt bad about lying to him about your parents, and were you live. Heck, about stealing and knowing everything about him! He's such a sweet, innocent boy. But you knew if you told him the truth you would be arrested, or thrown into the foster system! You didn't want that.

"Hey, (y/n), do you like jewelry?" Henry asked from across the room.

"I do, actually." In the Enchanted Forest you used to love making your own. But here you can't afford any, so you've never really thought about it. You walked over to Henry, who was by a shelf covered in rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.

"Wow!" You exclaimed. "There is so much beautiful stuff here!"

"I know." Henry said, smiling. He left you to admire all of it and went to look at something else.

You looked around the shelf. There were so many beautiful things! If only you could afford them. A voice inside your head reminded you. Well, maybe I can find something cheap! Another voice countered back.

All of a sudden you stopped in your tracks. There, in the middle of everything, was a beautiful golden necklace with an arrow in the center:

(I liked this pic but I also imagined it more sparkly, maybe made of real gold! Think of it however you want :)

You picked it up and looked at it. It might have been the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. You always wanted to learn archery, but obviously there were no bows or arrows in Storybrooke.

"Found something you like, dearie?" A voice made you jump. You turned around. It was Mr. Gold. "That's a very nice necklace you've got there." He smiled, sending shivers up your spine.

"Oh, well, it is very nice but..." You checked the price tag. $20. You only had $8. "I don't have enough to get it." You quickly set it down and speed-walked toward Henry. "Hey, I'm going to go okay?"

"Allright, (y/n)." Henry set down what he was looking at and turned to give you a big hug. It caught you by surprise; you couldn't remember the last time someone hugged you. But eventually, you hugged him back.

"It was really nice to meet you, (y/n)." Henry let go of you and smiled. "I hope I can see you soon!"

"Me too, Henry." You waved and walked out the door.

"Come back soon!" Mr. Gold called after you. "I'll keep that necklace safe if you want it."

You felt the chill up your back again. Why did he have that effect on people? Maybe it was just you... you couldn't help but feel uncomfortable when he was around. It was probably just all the stories you'd heard about the Dark One, and knowing how powerful he is.

You wandered through the woods to the town line - your hiding place for your backpack - and put the stuff you bought inside. You put your backpack on, sat down, and looked out on to the road.

Will I ever leave this stupid little town? You thought. Or will I be stuck here until I die?

You began to think about the day's events. Today was definitely an unusual day. You usually just wandered around town, took some money, played guitar, maybe went to Granny's, and then came back to the woods. But today you met Henry. You knew he was a special boy; you've known that since he came here. Today was the most fun you've had in, well, forever.

You stood up and walked back into the trees to find a good place to sleep. Once you did, you built a fire and pulled a small blanket out of your backpack.

You sat down on top of it and got out your favorite possession, The Many Adventures of Peter Pan. You loved these stories, not only because they were fun and adventurous, but because they were true. You knew that somewhere out there, Peter Pan was out playing with his Lost Boys in Neverland. You wished with all your heart that you could join them, but deep down inside you knew that would never happen. You're a girl, and there are only Lost Boys.

After you read a little bit, you put all of your things back in your bag and put it on your back. (You slept with your backpack on in case a person or animal found you, and you needed to get away fast.) You hummed Lost Boy quietly and thought of Peter Pan as you drifted off to sleep...

There's the second chapter! What do you guys think? Henry sure loves (y/n). Remember, he doesn't have friends either. And I know what you're thinking, when does Peter come in?! Don't worry he'll be here soon...
