mrs. joseph walked briskly into the car dealership, her heels clacking along the shiny floor as she made her way to the front desk.

"good afternoon, ma'am." a woman with brown hair slicked back into a low ponytail greeted the woman with a kind smile. "how may i help ya'?"

"yes, hello." she smiled back, removing her white cat eye sunglasses, before folding them and delicately placing them in her purse. "i bought m'son a new car and m'here to get his vehicle serviced."

"of course, ma'am." she nodded, opening a large book full of presumable appointments. "your surname?"

"joseph." she smiled, tapping her fake nails on the counter in front of her.

"here ya' are!" the woman stood up, handing mrs. joseph a few slips of paper before gesturing for the very fake woman to follow her through the back of the building. "i'll set'cha up with... joshua!"

"bless ya'." she smiled politely, although, the name joshua left a bad taste in her mouth. she ignored it though, following the woman through grease ridden flooring to a man with curly brown hair.

"this is joshua. do ya' recall this bein' the car?"

"sure is." she grinned, raking her eyes across the brand new white chevy camaro. "thanks so much, darl."

"my pleasure." the woman smiled once again, clasping her hands together as she informed, "when ya' done, come to m'desk and ill sign this baby out."

mrs. joseph smiled gratefully before turning to joshua who was popping the bonnet of the car open. "afternoon, ma'am." he smiled sweetly, something about her oddly familiar.

"hello, joshua, was it?" she didn't wait for a response, instead stepping forward to look into the part of the car joshua was operating on. "what needed workin' on?"

"just checkin' the oil, breaks, and lights." he explained distractedly, fiddling with the oil tank. "we don't want anythin' happenin' to this baby. o-or the person drivin' it." he added quickly when the woman furrowed her brows.

"damn right." she nodded, josh trying hard not to groan in annoyance as she starting touching all over the car he just cleaned. "m'sons birthday's comin' up so i bought him his first car."

"it's a beautiful car, 'm sure he'll love it."

"i hope so. i feel like i don't know him too well anymore." she sighed sadly, toying with the hem of her long pink skirt. "my ty boy's been rebellin' against me lately. i don't know what's gotten into him!"

maybe it was a bit far fetched but... ty? tyler! that's why she looked so familiar. but that was way too much of a stretch, so he just ignored his racing mind.

"'m sorry 'bout that, ma'am." josh smiled sadly at the woman before moving to check the exhaust pipe. "maybe he's hangin' out with new people—tryin' t'figure himself out. y'look young so'm sure he is too."

"i'd blush if i could." she laughed, which josh didn't understand, yet he laughed too. she literally couldn't blush from all the botox and skin fillers. "well now ya' mention it, he has been messin' around with this boy." she went silent in thought before laughing out.
