Wow. So for a while, I've only known half of his story. The monsters, the robot, the battles. Everything was so chaotic and insane. Destructive and dangerous. So crazy to even picture and to think it could be piloted by someone on this very planet was mind blowing. Just...wow.
This power, this gift he was born with. It was so unreal how it all happened. Experiments? Chemicals? Some genius they rescued months ago. And the fact that he could use it for justice was even cooler. Borderline impressive. But now, he could never have a normal life. And I don't think that's so bad.
And he's only what? Fifteen? And his friends and older pest...yes I know it's brother, but you get why I said it. They've been helping anyway they can and it's totally wild. No one ever knew. No one could tell who was inside of this machine. But now, I do. And I'm not going to ruin it.--Ryley had spoken within her mind.

All of the information poured into her ears. It wasn't so long to explain, but it was hard to take it in. It was secret after secret, weird after weird. It wasn't until this very moment the young lady began to understand. She understood why they had to do this. Why they had to keep it secret. And why they could never risk this whole thing being exposed.

"So, what do you think?" Ryan asked.

Ryley shifted her position on the couch. She sighed.

"Honestly, what you've been telling me were lies, Walker. Everything up to this point, you haven't told me the truth about where you were going most of the time." Ryley began.

Ryan nodded. He knew that part was going to come up.

"You said that you read to elderly dogs or something. You said that you were always busy because it was an emergency. You put yourself at risk everyday and you could be dead right now. Like, oh my god your unbelievable!" Ryley targeted.

Ryan shifted in his seat.

"I know it's a lot to underst-"

"No. No, you know what?" Ryley snapped at him.

Ryan was ready for it. When it comes to Ryley's anger or attitude, she's like your mean/savage type rich queen. Not petty, not over the top, just raw guts. But right now, she did nothing. Harris was even hiding behind Mark. Spyder was near the door. And Mark was sitting down with his arms crossed next to Ryan on his right. The moment grew anxious in what she was going to do. That's when the girl leaned near him and let her eyes lock with the her friend's. She heard his breath catch as she kept her gaze on him.

"You are amazing." Ryley whispered.

The look on her face would make any boy fall over. And in this case, the technopath almost did. The sixteen year old sat back as Ryan smiled. He looked down for a few seconds. The girl flashed a grin at the others, signaling she was fine. They all sighed in relief. Mark looked behind his shoulder. Harris looked at him and then moved away. Spyder joined the the others on the couch as Ryley glanced at each and every single one of them.

"Okay so, you know that-"

"I have to keep your secret? Yes. You didn't risk it before, so I won't now. I get it." Ryley interrupted.

Harris nodded.

"Good." He replied.

Ryley smiled. She took another glance at Ryan, who returned one to her. Mark sighed as he got up.

"That doesn't mean your on the team." He stated with his arms crossed again.

Ryley looked at him. Their relationship would take some time. For sure.

"Didn't ask for that. Knowing your secret is enough for me. Besides, it's not my place here. I've got lots of things pulling me in different directions, least I'm not going through it alone." The cheerleader responded.

That answer was something Mark respected. He even let his arms fall as he nodded. The fact she was here still turned his senses on. Something felt weird about her. Was it good? Hard to tell. Was it bad? Hard to tell. Neither side stood out to him. And even if one did, he still didn't want her here. Speaking of which, the two of them weren't supposed to be here.

"Well now that that's over..." Mark started.

The gang looked over at him.

"Don't we have a score to settle?" Mark asked with a smirk.

Ryley hadn't forgotten about that. She stood up with confidence written all over her face.

"Who needs a score when your butt's already been whooped?" Ryley fired.

Mark shook his head in disbelief as he headed for the elevator. The guys had joined him. Ryan didn't make it completely out the door before looking back at Ryley.

"Coming?" He asked.

"Yeah, let me grab my phone." Ryley responded.

Ryan nodded. He left to catch up with the others. Ryley grabbed her phone and heard the footsteps disappear. She looked around the room. Once she was alone, the young lady took out a photo. She glanced back at the door as she tilted her head to the left. She sighed.

"Step 1 is over. Now...onto the next phase." Ryley spoke menacingly.
