I walk back into the living room.
"C'mon let's just go." Jayden has a stressed look on his face.
I nod at him.
To be honest I feel kinda bad for him. But I'm in the same situation that he is right now... Having your best friend and the person who likes you's brother trying to get you together isn't very fun.
I put my phone in my back pocket and walk out without saying anything to the others.
"Can you drive?" I ask him.
"Yeah, kinda." He finally looks at me. "I'm sorry about this. It's probably so awkward."
"It's ok Jayden."
We get in the car and drive in silence for a few minutes. I don't really like it, so I decide to talk.
"Jayden, I know......" I trail off.
I was going to say that I know he likes me, but I really don't know if I should.
"You know what?"
"I-uh... never mind..."
"Oh... ok." He has a quizzical look on his face."Soo..."
"We might as well get to know each other."
"Yeah, I guess."
"How about we take turns asking questions that we both have to answer?"
"Sure." He looks out the window.
"Uh... I guess I'll start... um, what's your middle name?"
"Gilsan. How about you?"
"Jacqueline."
"Ok... How many pets do you have?"
"I have a dog named Bindi, and cat named Nigel, two birds, one called Kiwi and the other Tommi, and a bearded dragon, Thorn."
"Awwww. Can I meet them when we go back?"
"Sure." I laugh.
"I have a dog named Hyper."
"Awww."
We both laugh.
"Ok, my turn... What's your favorite animal?"
"I love them all."
"Same, but I like sharks the best." (THEY'RE SO ADORABLEEE😍😅😂)
"Ok, one more because we're almost there."
"Yeah."
"What's your birthday? Mines November 11th, 1998."
"October 25, 2000."
"You're 16?"

"You look 18." He parks the car.
"Everyone thinks I look older than I am. People always have." I laugh.
"So about this couple thing..."
"Lets just hold hands or something."

We get out, and he grabs my hand. Ok, I'm gonna be honest here. This is actually the first time I've held hands with a boy. It's sad, I know.😂
We go in, talking about random stuff, and get noodles. (Super overboard, I know🤦♀️😂)
On the way out I see a girl I think I recognize.
"Ella??"
I recognize the accent immediately. "Omg HAIII ELIZABETHHHHH!"
I run up to her.
"Why are you hereeee?!?"
"Well my family moved."
"Gahhh I can't believe we're just now meeting." I laugh.
"Ikrrr."
She whispers. "Who were you holding hands with?"
"That's Jayden. We're friends from swim and we were dared to come here and act like we're a couple."🙄
"Friends? Are you sure?"
"Yesss omg."🤦♀️😤
"Ok fine I guess I believe you."
"You're coming over. Now."
"Ok..."😂
"Can you sleep over? Bentlee and Graylinn are."
"Sure."

"Sorry to interrupt this little "scream fest" but ELLAAA C'MON." He says sarcastically.
"FINEEEE. Jayden this is Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Jayden."
"Nice to meet you." Elizabeth says.
"You too."
"Okey, c'mon guys lets go homeee."
