Phil's POV
I walked into the small local store for the small town I lived in. It only had a few people in the parking lot, plus the workers. No one was out because, one it was late, and two it was storming. I was on my way home from my parents house and needed to pee so I stopped here.
I looked at my phone to see what time it was only to notice that it was later than I thought. It was 9:35. At least my phone had good battery left.
I walked out of the bathroom when everything went black and the only light came from my phone screen.
Dan's POV
I leaned on the counter as the lady was ringing up my groceries. I know what you're thinking, who goes shopping at 9:30 PM? Me okay. She went to ring up my last item when I saw someone walk in. I stared at him for a few seconds as he looked around as if he almost for got what he was doing.
He was (not gonna lie) adorable. His black hair was messy and wet from the storm and he wore a galaxy hoodie (does he still wear that? Is that still a thing I don't think he does anymore?) and some black jeans. I couldn't see much more of him but just the way he walked in, felt like everything stopped.
"Sir. Sir!" I heard as I noticed that I was looking at nothing now.
"Sorry what-" Then it all went dark except for a little light shining in the near corner by the bathrooms.
