A little while later after Peter left, I went to bed. I awaited his return, and finally, he came. One in the morning was when he entered, tip toeing, wishing not to wake me. He sat on the bed, and took off his shoes.
"Where have you been?" I asked sleepily. He jumped up off the bed, putting his hands out in front of himself.
"I-I thought you where asleep!" He stuttered. "I'll be sleeping on the couch." He muttered.
"I am cold." I lied. "You can get into bed, until I warm up."
He smiled, and climed into bed. He cuddled up next to me, kissing my cheek. He turned me around, smiling. He softly kissed my lips, making me blush again. He released, our faces inches apart. I leaned in and kissed him, softly closing my eyes. He was almost shocked, but kissed me back. He wrapped his arms tightly around my back, and pulled me closer to him. He pulled back and smiled. He began to place soft kisses down my neck, making me turn a darker shade of red.
"Peter?" I asked, running my fingers through his hair. "What where you doing? With your father?"
"Can we talk about it later?" He asked, kissing my cheek. I nodded, letting his finger glide across my jawline. He twirled my short hair between his fingers, and wrapped his other arm around me. I rested my head on his chest, and listened to his heartbeat. He stroked my hair, and hummed a soft tune into my ear. He kissed my forehead, and kept humming, while sleep crept up on me. I dozed off, listening to Peter's soft voice.
*next morning*
I awoke late in the morning. I could feel the room heating up from the sun. I was still cuddled up to Peter, who was still deep in sleep, and his arms still tightly holding me. I wriggled out of his arms, and sat up. I looked back down at Peter. His eyebrows where lowered, and angry. He was mumbling things, but I couldn't pick up on any of the words. He began to toss and turn, and his voice began to get louder. I shook his shoulder.
"Peter. Peter wake up!" He sat up, gasping. He relaxed, and threw himself back on his pillow. He rubbed his eyes, and looked up.
"Is everything okay?" I asked. He turned his head to look at me.
"It was just a dream." He assured me. I nodded, and lied down next to him.
"We should probably get up, and see what the others are doing." He nodded, and both of us got out of bed. I got dressed, and walked out the door. Peter followed, not long after.
"What are we even going to eat?" I asked, relizing I was starving. "I don't know." He mumbled. I grabbed his hand and smiled. He gave a slightly worried smile.
"What's the matter?" I asked him. He looked down at the floor, then to me.
"It's what my father told me." He finally answered. He was looking at the tiles on the floor.
"Which was?"
He looked to me, and back at the tiles.
"Peter, will you please look at me?" He looked to me, with a worried look.
"This is gonna sound crazy, but, I am...well...let me just..."
"You can tell me anything. I won't judge, or freak, or whatever you think I'm going to do."
"I am immortal!" He blurted. I widened my eyes. Finally, he looked at me.
"You're what!?"
"I knew this would happen." He mumbled. I shook my head, trying to make sense of what I just heard. Before I could say anything else, he grabbed me by the shoulders.
"Kesmet, please don't freak out. I know this is crazy but-"
"Peter." Ego interrupted. He stood in the doorway, and we just stared at him.
"We need to begin."
"We will talk later." He said. He let go of my shoulders, and walked away.
"Peter!" I called. He stopped in the doorway, waiting my request. I rushed up to him, and kissed his cheek.
"Don't be to long." I whispered. After they left the hall, I went back to our room. I made the bed, tucking the covers tightly beneath the matress.
I heard a knock on the door.
"Its unlocked!" I called. Gamora walked in, holding two plates.
"Are you hungry?" She asked.
"Yeah, I guess." I said, as I walked towards her.
"Where is Peter?" She asked.
"With his dad." I took the plate, and walked to the balcony.
"Without breakfast? Something is wrong." She joked. She noticed I was sulking, and stood beside me. "What's the matter?" She asked, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Something is off." I said, filling my mouth with food.
"I have noticed that too. That girl mantis, she is afraid of something."
"What do you mean?" I asked, mouth full.
"She was about to tell Drax something when I walked in. When I asked her later she denied she was going to tell him anything."
"This place is quite odd." I said, swallowing. We sat there, silent for a while. I awkwardly ate, while Gamora stood there. I finished my plate, and set it down.
"Ego's not that normal himself." I said. She nodded.
"Have yoy talked to Peter?" I asked. She shook her head.
"I dont want to make him worry."
I nodded, agreeing with her. We talked for a little while, and watched the sun rise.
"Why don't I take your plate." She answered. She grabbed it, and left. She didn't come back either. I guessed something had happened.
I stood out on the balcony, and looked outside.
Peter came back around six o'clock. I turned around to see him walking slowly. He looked tired and worn. He slumped over, and fell to the ground.
"Peter!" I yelled. I ran over to him, helping him up. I helped him over to the bed. He sat down and rubbed his head.
"Peter, what happened?" I asked. He looked up to me, and fell backward onto the bed. He had multiple burns on his face and hands.
"Training." Was all he said. He closed his eyes, breathing deeply.
"Training?" I asked.
"Yup." He answered, without moving.
"Well, what happened?" I asked frantically. He just lie there, breathing heavily. I shook him a little, but he winced, and pulled back at the pain.
"Sorry!"
I lied down next to him, and held his shaking hand.
