He Returns (Sequel to 'He Waits)

Nightmares

~Demon's POV~

Silently, I watch them talk, laughing and joking around.

Mark was on the couch, Chica on his lap. Amy was laying against him, petting Chica every now and then. Tyler and Ethan were sharing a love seat, (which, of course, both Mark and Amy teased about) and Kathryn was sitting on the floor, editing a video to be posted.

None knew I was there.

Except one.

Chica raised her head and stared at me. She curled up more, letting out a whimper.

Mark looked down at Chica, confused. "What's wrong Chica?" Chica just whimpered again and jumped off the couch, causing most everyone to yelp; but Mark groaned.

"What... spooked her?" He winced and closed his legs slightly.

Assorted giggles came from the others.

"Maybe someone passing outside?" Ethan suggested.

"Yeah but she doesn't do that if a stranger passes by. She just creepily stares at the window."

I walk over, and looked in Amy's thoughts. She had a dim worry - that Mark was cheating on her. He had been talking a lot his phone, leaving when Amy came in the room.

I twisted the thoughts, using what was there. Mark had come home late last night, and Amy had hugged him. I gave Amy the thought that she had smelled perfume on his collar.

Gliding, I go over to Mark.

And smirk.

There was only one worry; where I was.

He had been trying to figure out who had let me out.

He didn't know both Wilford and Dark were alive.

I twisted his thoughts - the only person who could've done it;

Google.

I leave, knowing that what I've done will have lasting consequences.

Waiting, I open my eyes, looking around. Gloomy skies, people hurrying on. Dark green fields on either side of the town.

Walking, I reach up, making the collar of my jacket become a hoodie, and flip it over my face.

What I have for my plans; I need more than just myself.

My eyes flicker briefly on the sign that I walk by, then start following the thin, dark forest green trail.
