After the feast finished, Harry and the rest of the Slytherins went to the common room. First years were being given the annual lecture and then they were sent to their dorm rooms to get situated. Harry and the rest of his friends were in a corner by the stairwell that lead to the dorm rooms. They were all discussing the classes they chose for that year.

"I chose Transfigurations, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, and Charms." Harry said while looking out the window at the black lake.
"That's a lot of classes Harry. Are you sure you can handle them all?" Draco asked
"Absolutely. I want to be smart and have a good education. I want to experience all the classes here at Hogwarts so I have a wider range of choices to have as a job when I graduate."
"Ravenclaw, Harry" Blaise teased
"Well it's true!" Harry exclaimed with a blush.
"I only chose basics." Pansy said

Everyone else nodded, except for Draco.

"I chose the same classes as Harry. Father expects it. A Malfoy has to have the best education." Draco said
"Your such a Daddy's boy" Pansy laughed
"More like Mommy's. You still call her mommy too, don't you Draco?" Blaise teased.

Everyone laughed, but Harry was silent.

"What's wrong with that?" He asked, his voice small.

His eyes were wide and his voice held so much innocence it was adorable.

"Oh Harry, you poor thing." Pansy said and hugged him.
"I wish I had a mom and dad. All I had was Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and Dudley. They don't show affection very much. At least, not to me." Harry said sadly.

Everyone looked at him with pity, and just as Draco was about to say something, there was an announcement in the common room telling everyone to go to bed.

Harry walked up the stairway first and went directly to the room he shared with his friends. He got his pajamas, went to the bathroom and then went directly to his bed, where he closed the curtain and went to sleep.

What he said earlier had worried everyone. Was Harry not loved? Was he neglected of affection? Was he abused?

Sadly, they would all forget those thoughts and the words that Harry spoke.

Harry himself would even forget what he had told them, and that was the last of it.
