Ch:28-Finally!

I think it was somewhere near the time when I was organizing my wardrobe when I realized something, I was yet to ask Leah for prom. I remembered our second date when I asked Leah to become my girlfriend. At that time I had said to her that she was my prom date, I didn't even ask, I had just took her for granted, I was kidding obviously.

And today's was the day I was going to ask her. I decided to make it simple. Nothing grand, just walk up to her ask her whether she would like to be my prom date, nothing much. And that's exactly what I did.

So, I walked up to her. She saw me coming closer to her so she too came closer too me and said, "Hey."

I was quick to greet her to too. And then I did not wait for anything I just asked her, "Will you go to the prom with me?"

To say that she was shocked would be a lie, because her face gave expressions more than that of a shock, It was combination of many feelings actually. She was like shocked, happy, a bit confused, and many more which I couldn't Identify or name.

"What? Why are you asking me this?" She said.

"I am supposed to, right? I haven't exactly asked you and prom is right above the corner. And I even heard from friends that you are going dress shopping soon so I thought this was the best time..."

"In school, during a small break between two periods is your ideal time smartass?" She said sarcastically. It was odd that she wasn't in a good mood today.

"Uh..Now that I think of it no..but what's done is done.."

"Yeah, and I thought we had already decided that I was your prom date.."She said raising her eyebrows.

"Ah..yes, but I had to ask to make it official, you really didn't think that was true, did you? I wasn't actually going to take you for granted, I was just kidding at that time, I think my cheeky smile gave it away."

"Uh...okay then."She blushed, for no reason actually.

The bell then rang. Everyone started rushing to their classes. I was confused... as I did not know whether the 'okay' was my answer! Or was it like 'ok, I understand your point kind of thing?'

"I would be late, I have to leave." Leah said before leaving, but I caught her hand. She looked at me.

"You never answered." I said uncertainly, (What if that 'okay' was yes).

She finally smiled and said, "Your a lucky boy, it's a yes."

We had now occupied a giant place in the cafeteria. I guess, when the guys came out of the library to have the lunch the whole popularity thing collapsed. Other people who were also bullied started fighting back which caused the jocks to shut up.

Everyone was happy with how school was going on. (If you leave the jocks out) And kids in lower grades were too now messing up the popularity ladder. I guess what happened, happened for good.

Another thing I never imagined had happened. Kylie Monarch was my friend now.It still seems weird. I mean we have lunch together. I think the proper word would be acquaintance.

Our lunch table had grown vastly and slowly..it was the largest table in the cafeteria, including people who no one would've imagined to sit together. I, Leah, Liam, Louis, Kaley, Andy(who still did not tell who his girlfriend was), Leeroy, Stewart(Who had a girlfriend now), The other Kaley(who was stewart's girlfriend now), Tiffany, Carol, Ashley, Kylie and Leila.
