Ch:8-The Dinner
I was just looking out of the window of my bedroom, waiting for Leah and her Family to arrive. But there sure were no signs. Sighing, I got up from my seat and went downstairs and sat on the couch. Mum had called them at 7 and it was 6:30 now, clearly they aren't going to come here early! Actually that's good!
I switched the T.V. on and started watching whatever the crap was on. Mum and Gemma were still busy 'preparing for the dinner' even though everything was ready.
Suddenly I notice the time, nearly 5 minutes left. Why am I worrying about the time? It's not like their going to be here on 7 dot! Anyhow I go close to the window and look out to see if their here. But, I could see no one but just a silver colour car parked around the corner, The car looked familiar but I shrugged it off.
And I was back at watching whatever the crap was on. But it was useless as I was lost in my thoughts. Leah was here just two days ago and now she will be here again 'Thanks to Mum', And I guess she will coming here again and again and again. To make it sound worse I will have to wear the 'Marcel clothes' in my house too. Again 'Thanks to Mum'. That day it was so hard to answer Leah's question's! She sure do has a curious mind! I was really happy when she said that she would go home alone even though Mum forced her and forced me to force her to leave her home in my car! But..that reminds me 'How did she get here?', she doesn't know my address. No one does. Leaving Louis, obviously.
Soon my thoughts were interrupted when I heard a car being parked which made me stand up from my comfortable place, I looked through the window to see Leah and her Mom getting out of the Silver car that was parked around the corner. Now I know where I knew the car from! But then why did they not come inside? I looked at the time to see at it was dot 7 now.
Oh.
They did come on 7 dot. As the doorbell rung I went to open the door. Mum and Gemma rushed behind me.
"Hello, Marcel."Leah's Mum said as she smiled.
"Hi, Mrs.Cyrus ,please come in." I said as I motioned them to come in.
"Oh, just call me Lauren,dear!"she said as came in followed by Leah. She just smiled at me as she came in.
"Oh Lauren, How are you?" Mum said as she hugged Leah's Mum.
"I'm fine! How are you?" She asked Mum.
"Oh, I'm lovely! Lauren meet my daughter, Gemma."
"Hello, Mrs.Cyrus!" Gemma said using her fake sweet accent. She uses that accent when she wants to please someone!
"Hi, Gemma, How are you?"
"I'm good." She said adding her real smile.
"Oh, Leah, I didn't notice you there." Mum said which surely made her feel awkward!
"How can we forget our dear Marcel here!" Leah's mum said as she started laughing with Mum. Great now their making me uncomfortable.
"Where is Dave?" Mum asked Leah's Mum.
"Oh, there was some urgent work he had to do, We're really sorry, he couldn't come."
"It's okay, Next time, Eh?
"Sure."
As usual, the conversation was followed by telling someones embarrassing moments, some emotional moments and stuff like that.
"It's around 7:30 now, we should just start the dinner, shouldn't we?"Gemma suggested.
"Sure, I was just thinking that have I forgotten something!" Mum said as she giggled, Here starts the boring jokes.

"It's lovely, Anne!, You sure do have some talent!" Leah's Mum started the conversation while others munched on their food.
"Oh, stop it, I know I'm not that good of a cook!"
"Really,Mrs. Cox, this is delicious!" Leah, joined in the 'Flattering my Mum' conversation.
"Stop flattering me, I know it's not that good!" Mum said blushing.
"I bet Marcel agrees with me, Right?" Leah's mum looked at me.
"What? Yes, Mum it is undeniably delicious!" I said. And no, I did not lie, It indeed was good.
"See Anne your son agrees with me!"
"Yeah, really it's so good!" Gemma said as she seemed to have been left out of the conversation.
"Well, if it really is then Thank you everyone!"
"Oh, but you have to give me the recipe!'
"Of course I would, I would love to come for dinner at your place too!"
"You're welcomed whenever you wish to you!"
Why is everything being said so Formally? I hate this!

The Dinner was over and my Mum and Leah's Mum where chatting in the Living room. Gemma went to sleep cause she has to wake up early tomorrow and Leah is sitting awkwardly in my room in front of me as she has nothing to talk about! I do want to ask her about how she got my address, But.....
"Erm, Can we talk something, This is really awkward." Leah said with a shy smile
"Okay." I said as I smiled awakwardly. This just too much Awkwardness for a day! She looked at me as if telling me to start so I made enough courage to start.
"Wheredidyougetmyaddressbeforewhenyoucametogivememybookback?" Uh Oh.
"What?'
"Uh..Umm..I was just wondering where did you get my address? Cause you know, You didn't know where I lived so.."
"Oh, Kaley give it me! She wanted to come but she had some urgent work so I came instead."
'Thank God!' I muttered under my breath.
