Xander's POV
Today was great. No wonderful really. I can tell it's definitely going to be different with Alexa than it was with everyone previously. She's definitely smart, smarter for her age, and because of this I'm going to have to be careful. I need to be careful because she's going to be harder to get to cooperate, but there's always my ways so I'm not too worried. There's only one thing I'm concerned about in particular, however, is Blake. I could tell he cracked a bit after this job. He's gone "soft" in a way. He's definitely not been as grateful for everything I've done for him as he used to be. I have noticed with everyone I call in after a while they start to crack and eventually I have to take care of them because they'd become stupid. They start to not be as obedient and try things so ridiculous to escape me. I don't see why, I took care of them, fed them, provided them with a roof above their heads while asking only one thing in return, to help me to get slaves. They're cooperative at first but then they start to become disobedient. I don't know why, but it always happens and they always end up being taken care of. As in a bullet through their head. I don't tell them that when I first take them in at first, I just say if they don't do as I say that I'll kick them out. That's of course a lie, I can't let someone who knows my secrets out into the world for someone else to find out. So if they misbehave I kill them. I don't give them a harsh death, like I would my slaves, because they did have to do a lot unlike my slaves who have simple things to do. I give them a little off for they did help me in some way but I still kill them, unlike my slaves. My slaves are dealt a much harsher punishment, I just find it more enjoyable that way. Besides, if they are never going to behave again, I might as well dispose of them as well. It's just much more fun to mess with them a little bit beforehand. They are female, which I of course take advantage of, they deserve it and I like my fun. Sure others think of that as wrong, but whatever to entertain me, I do. Once people have been here long enough, they know that and they don't say anything unless they want to be punished. That's how it's always been once I started my gig to make money, selling illegal drugs and being the leader of a mafia, and that's how it will always be. Sam didn't want to follow that rule, and she suffered the consequences. And Blake thought he could help her, being the idiot that he is.
Three Months Before
Third POV
"No. I'm done with this nonsense. I've suffered enough and I don't deserve to be here. I didn't do ANYTHING to deserve this. I'm getting out of here if it's the last thing I do and I'm going to report you and all your little criminal friends to the police!" Could be heard through the door of the library.
"Sam I understand. Just listen to me! I'm going to help you get out of here! I know everything I've done is wrong and I'm going to try to fix it some way! Even if it's not going to make anything better, just let me help you!" Spoke a deeper voice from behind the door.
Xander just happened to be walking past the library when that last little bit was spoken. He leaned against the door and listened to the rest of the conversation. As it went on, he started to get angrier and angrier. He knew what was about to happen, and he wasn't going to let it slide. Sam was going to try to escape, but being stupid her, she spoke of all her escape plans while Xander listened in. He knew everything and he was ready.
As nighttime fell three days after he overheard the conversation, he awoke at 1 am to stop this little event from being successful. He walked downstairs, out the door, and waited below the window to Sam's room. He waited and waited, and like expected at 1:45, he heard the door being open and voices from inside.
"Thank you Blake. I will not forgive you for what you have done, but I do appreciate you helping me." Could be heard from up above, but the response was not audible. Xander didn't have time to think because out came a long rope from the window, and an unknowing Sam climbing down from it.
Xander waited in the bushes until Sam had come all the way down the rope and he sprung out and grabbed her arm, an infuriated look on his face. This wasn't the first time she'd disobeyed and this was definitely going to be her last. He was going to have his fun. Sam turned quickly and her face filled with fear as she was face to face with the man of her nightmares. Her eyes widened just enough for Xander to know she knew she was done.
He punched her, knocking her out, and started to walk back in carrying her. But not before he looked up at the window, enough to see Blake walking out of the room. He would deal with Blake later, he had to take care of Sam first.
He carried Sam inside and into the forbidden room filled with all of his tools. His lighters, whips, canes, and all. He set her on the bed, tied her down, and sat down in the chair across from it and waited for her to awake so he could have his fun.
And that night, all throughout the house, the only thing to be heard was Sam's screams.
