6:47 PMSebastian looked at her.
He looked at the old t-shirt that clung too tight around her shoulders, and the pair of dirty soccer shorts she had stolen from Liz months ago. He looked at how she smiled to her eyes as she scrolled through her phone, and he looked at her figure trembled as she tried to suppress laughter from whatever it was she was looking at.
He couldn't stop looking at her, and the only reason it scared him because he didn't want to. There was thirteen minutes until their call time and he would gladly spend all of them staring at the person sitting curled up across from him.
"Hey, how do you pronounce this?" Daisy said, snapping Sebastian out of his temporary trance. She held out the script which she was reading through. He reached to grab it and his hand brushed against hers, which-
-has happened a million times before. It isn't any different this time. Don't do this to yourself again, Sebastian.
He took the booklet and retracted his hand as quickly as he could. "Daisy this is literally the word 'fidget'. Why do you not know how to say this?"
Daisy sat up, yawning. "I've been up since four this morning memorizing my lines for tomorrow. I'm exhausted Seb."
She hesitated a moment, a look of contemplation showing on her face, and then pushed herself back against him. Her head rested against his chest, soft blonde hair spread out and tickling his arms. Her feet tangled up with his legs, and her back pressed up against his-
"You know, uh, our call time for the table reading is pretty much now." Sebastian said. He pulled away from Daisy reluctantly because that shouldn't feel how it just felt and something is definitely wrong with me.
Her head dropped to the pillow as he stood up. A frown tugged her lips downwards and Sebastian absolutely hated it. But the frown almost immediately turned into a grin, and then a smile, and then just because, they were both giggling like children.
And while she was clutching her stomach and throwing her head back laughing, Sebastian looked at her.
He looked at the trace of a spark inside her dark eyes, and the crinkles next to them as she smiled. He looked at the scar on her thigh, and thought back to the story of when Evans impaled her with a prop and landed her in the hospital. He looked at her hands and remembered the feeling of warmth that spread throughout him whenever they were wrapped around his.
He looked at Daisy. He looked at her and realized that she wasn't just 'Daisy Carter his best friend' anymore, but 'Daisy Carter the girl I think I have feelings for, and someone please help me because I have no idea what to do'.
