Daisy sat in the passenger seat of Sebastian's pickup truck, her feet pushed up against the dash and her hands fumbling with the straw in her soda cup. Though she could make out the screams and conversations, the horror movie playing on the big screen a few cars ahead was the last thing on Daisy Carter's mind.

She looked over at Sebastian, leaning back into his seat, the projector's light reflecting into his eyes and his hair tucked messily behind his ears. Stop.

She couldn't feel this way. This wasn't real. But it could be. No. They were together for the publicity, to get good reviews and make the paparazzi fall in love with them. It wasn't for real, and Daisy had no idea why this upset her so much.

He must have noticed her focus drifting away, because he nudged her back to the world, and then grabbed hold of her hand, squeezing it tightly. She took in a deep breath- and then everything stopped.

A warmth spread through her hand. The hand which Sebastian had rubbed the night before, when she complained of them being sore.

It reached her arm. The arm that just last week was wrapped around his waist as they walked through the busy streets of downtown Atlanta at night.

She felt it in her chest. In the spot where Sebastian had traced over with his fingers the first time he had seen her cry. When he told her it was what was in her heart that mattered most, not what people saw on the outside.

It touched her lips next. The lips she so desperately wanted to crash against his. To place small kisses along his jaw, to trace over his chest when nobody was watching.

And then it reached her head and everything was fuzzy. And then she closed her eyes. And then she leaned in. And then he let go.

And then the fog was gone and everything was crystal clear to her now.
