Today's the day

I had gotten up early this morning, and as I expected, my boyfriend was again spending the night at the office since he had a lot of paperwork to catch up on.

Grabbing my phone off the dresser I texted Brandon.

Hey, babe. I'm gonna go out with a friend tonight since I don't have work. I'll make you something to eat for later just in case you come home. I love you, see you later.

I got up and stretched. It was still pretty early, so I decided to shower so I could get it out of the way.

-Some time later-

Still having a towel on around my body and one around my hair I looked through my closet for any outfit.

"What to wear.. let's see.. well, I haven't worn this in awhile." I said to myself. I wasn't much of a girly type, so a dress was a no go. I wanted to be comfortable but still look good. I always looked good though. Who am I kidding? I never look good.

After what seemed like centuries, I finally found the perfect outfit.

My outfit for the night was a blue blouse with black skinny jeans which also consisted of a black leather jacket, a beige scarf as well as black high heeled boots

I haven't worn this outfit since my first date with Brandon, which was a few years back. Geez, to think that we've been together since sophomore year of college, it was crazy. But that's not important right now.

What mattered right now was.. if I still fit into this outfit.

Awhile later I was done getting dressed, thankfully the outfit still fit and surprisingly, looked very good on me.

I only had a few more hours till 7, so I began to do my hair then makeup.

I decided to curl my (h/l) hair and put on simple makeup. I wasn't much of a makeup kinda gal, but tonight was a special occasion- a once in a life time opportunity.

With only a few minutes left to spare till 7 I looked over myself through the mirror. I looked pretty good. I felt really proud at how much effort I put into my look.

Still admiring myself in the mirror I heard the doorbell ring.

Getting startled a bit I quickly looked over myself once more and headed for the door.

I opened the door. I instantly smiled when I saw the handsome Dan standing on my porch.

"Hey, you're right on time," I happily said.

"Of course I am. I didn't want to keep the fine lady wait-" Danny suddenly stared eyes wide at me as he slowly closed his mouth, not finishing what he was saying.

I blushed a bit, glancing down. "I-Is something wrong? Do I look weird? I do, don't I?" I frowned a bit.

Danny gasped. "What?! No! You look amazing, (Y/n)! I mean, you looked amazing before, but right now. You look like a total babe."
