Matty drove himself and I to his house. His driveway vacant of another car I asked where his mother went as though it concerned me.
"She brought Louis to my dad's house for his birthday." He told me, searching through his keys for the one to his house.
"Why didn't you go along?" I inquired, hopping my question wouldn't spiral into something else.
"Because mum said that they should get some 'bonding time' and that they should spend time together on his birthday." He sighed unlocking the door. We both stepped inside.
"She doesn't want to?" I questioned, following Matty to the kitchen. I hopped onto the counter as he raided the fridge of its food.
"Want to what?" Matty looked at me confused and I explained my previous question further.
"Spend time with him on his birthday."
"Well she has to be there anyway for work, so I assume they'll meet up and have and have cake or something." He explained throwing an apple my way. I caught it, thanking him I take bite from it. For some reason I'd always prefer apples over anything else.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked Matty who was still busy looking for something to eat. He stoped, turned around and walked over, placing his hands on the counter on either side of me. We were so close I had nowhere to look but his eyes.
We stayed like that for a good three minutes, I was disappointed he hadn't kissed me again.
"What are you doing?" I giggled scooting back as far as I could. Matty pulls me close again, this time for a hug. He rested his head on my shoulder.
"Don't know." He answered, placing a soft kiss on my neck. I knew what he was trying to do. I would've been fine with it if we were together.
"Matty no." I pushed him away. He avoided looking at me, I could read the embarrassment on his face. I felt bad and pull his face close to mine, planting a sweet kiss on his lips.

I hadn't known whether to cross my arms over my bare chest or my nether region. Matty seemed to get the hint I was uncomfortable with him seeing me like that in this moment. He got up, putting on a pair of boxer briefs and the t-shirt he had been wearing earlier. He looked around his messy room for my own clothing, only my embarrassing pink underwear were found. I had wondered where the rest of my clothes went. They would probably show up when he finally cleaned his room.
I put them on, watching Matty pull a nicely folded white t-shirt from his dresser drawer. Walking back over, sitting across from me on the bed, he slipped the shirt over my head and I take the liberty of putting my arms through.
"I can put a shirt on myself." I joked crossing my arms. The shirt was a comfortable soft fabric, I was for sure keeping it, no if ands or buts about it. Matty smiled at me.
"Amber I have a question," Matty said not saying anything for a while, I assumed he was thinking, "will you be my actual girlfriend?" He finally asked. I thought for a moment, he wanted to be with Nichole, we both knew it and Nichole wanted him. I couldn't do that to them, they wanted each other.
"I thought you wanted Nichole." I said although it was more of a question. Matty sighed.
"I do, it's just that, I want you differently," I looked at him puzzled, "I want, or wanted Nichole right then and there, I know we could've had something that wouldn't last, I couldn't see myself with her for the rest of my life, but you, I want you forever, I want to wake up every morning with you right next to me, I want to spend every waking moment with you by my side, I want you to be there forever, you're so-" I cut him off with a kiss, his cliche words making me believe he actually wanted to be with me.
"You know being together all the time would make us hate each other." I joked pulling away to catch my breath. He told me to shut up, pecking my lips a few times.
"I'd love to be you're real girlfriend."
