So this is the last chapter of the day. I am so tired. All I have been doing is writing and watching Ladylike (Which I recommend watching on youtube by the way). But anyway, Some things will be revealed in the next upcoming chapters and its going to get hectic up in here.

Ryder's POV

This was not what i expected to happen tonight. I tried to think of something to do, but my mind was blank. No one has ever not been able to shift back before. It was unheard of. Braxton was starting to freak out so I crouched down and held him. "Calm down, we'll find out what's wrong" i reassured. All he did was whine louder and hide his tail under his legs. The ceremony, I guess, was over now so I ordered everyone to return to the pack house. We shifted and the pack went back in silence but I know everyone was confused and worried. When we arrived, I guided braxton to the infirmary. It was really the only place I could think of at the time. we were immediately escorted to a room and a doctor quickly came in to examine him.

"Well he is physically fine. I don't understand why he can't shift back" The doctor said perplexed. With a sigh, i just nodded. Maybe it will wear off or something. "We'll be in our room" i said and left with braxton following. I opened the door and braxton quickly ran inside and under the bed. "Hiding won't fix anything" I sighed and crouched down to look at him. I gave him a soft smile and  he slowly came out. "Do you know what happened?" i asked. he just shook his head. We sat there in silence for a little while, just digesting the events of tonight. "Hexis, Do you have any ideas" I asked. Silence. "Hexis" I called.  Still  no answer. I could feel him, why wasn't he answering. "Hexis, this is not funny. Answer me" I yelled. "...I'm here" he said softly. "Why didn't you answer me the first time" I asked. "I was...busy with something" he mumbled. "Like what?" I pouted. "I was just talking to someone" he said. "You can do that" I said amazed. "Sometimes, usually they contact me" he said. "Well, braxton is changing and I don't know what to do" I sighed. "I know how" he said.

my eyes shot open and I almost asked him the question out loud. "How? How do you know how?" I asked quickly. "All in due time. I can't really talk to you about right now, it's not the right time" he said. "When have you ever kept secrets from me" I frowned. he was quiet for a few seconds. I knew he was avoiding the question. We are a part of each other. How can he hide something from me when we are always together? I sighed and knew he wouldn't tell me until "The time was right" or whatever. "How do I get braxton to change back?" I asked. he was silent for a few more seconds. "We have to mate with him" he said. If i was drinking water, it would have been all over the floor. "What do you mean we have to mate with him. He isn't ready for that" I argued. "Maybe but it's the only way that  he can change back and his wolf will come back" he said. "What?" I gasped. "The transformation takes a toll on not only the body but the wolf as well. Right now Boris is floating between life and death right now. That is why he can't change" haxis claimed. "When we mate, it will finally connect us to him and boris, that way boris can gain the strength to return...otherwise..." he stopped. "Otherwise what?" I asked. I really didn't want to know the answer,

"They both die"  he finally whispered.

It felt like the world was trying to crush me under its weight. How could it try to take my mate away? What about the moon goddess? we just finished our ceremony, how could she try to take him away from me? I wanted to cry.  "It has to be done. Explain it braxton. The soon the better" hexis sighed and cut off connection. We both knew braxton was probably not ready for this. We wanted to wait until he said he was ready, not have to do it because it was a life or death situation. I looked at braxton and he looked so sad. I don't know how lonely it must feel with his wolf? A wolf is a part of you and then to have that ripped away in a matter of minutes...cruel. I sighed and decided that I needed to explain this as fast and as simple as possible.
