I'm dead.  I mean, I knew it was coming. But so soon? I am-was- only 23. I told them I didn't want to go but....they insisted. And now I'm dead. They must hate themselves. I can only imangine how my dads must feel. Or Johnny. Or Vanessa.....
Hold up. If I'm dead how am I thinking right now?

"You just gonna stand there forever?" A gruff voice pulled me from my thoughts.
My eyes flew open. In front of me was an old man in a tattered raincoat leaning against a bolder. He was carving away at what looked to be a black rock. But he had no knife. He was using his claws? Weird.

I looked down at my self. I was in the clothes I was wearing when I Died. Jeans and one of my dads' flannels over a black tank top. And a freaking tree branch stuck out of my chest. A tree branch. Then I looked around. It was mostly dark. Red streaks threaded across the ground.

"Where am I?" I asked.

The old man grunted. I think it was a laugh.
"Hell." Was the simple answer.

"Hell? Like Hell Hell? Eternal burning and stuff?"

Another laugh grunt.

"Humans are so dramatic."

"You aren't human?"

The man's eyes flashed black for a moment when he looked at me.

"Never was."

I was taken aback. A demon. I meam, I shouldn't be suprised, I am in Hell after all. This is all so new to me.

How can I be in Hell? I'm an Atheist. I don't believe in God or Satan or Heaven or Hell. Well I didn't anyway. Until now.

I wondered what my Hell would be like. Then a very famiker trumpet riff rang through my mind. Really? Is that gonna be stuck in my head forever? I sighed. What can ya do?

"Where do I go?"

"Newbies go to Lucifer's castle. Go see him."

"Which is where?"

"Big black marble castle. Can't miss it."

"Okay...thanks Mr..?"

"Yvi."

"Well Yvi, see you later."

"Maybe." Yvi grunted.

Okay so I plan on the later chapters being longer. This was just a kick starter. 🐢
