It's a Friday afternoon, Hoseok won't be home for several more hours and Taehyung feels the urge to show his true form. If only to remind himself what he must do. He's also curious as to if he still can, given his recent weakness. The demon sighs through his nose, standing in the tv room and gazing out the window at the rainy weather. It reminds him of the day Namjoon died. It was dark and rainy, thunder rumbling through the sky as the sky cried out for the loss of such a beautiful person. To say that he feels guilty is an understatement, he regrets everything, wishing he'd just died all those hundreds of years ago. He would've rather been trapped in hell as a prisoner than be a demon, he's hurt countless people, gallons upon gallons of innocent blood will forever stain his hands. It's something he can't wash off, or try to forget about anymore. The screams and cries of his victims are louder than they've ever been the past few days. He closes his eyes to clear his mind, channeling his inner demon and feels the familiar pain of it all ripping out of him. His fingernails elongate to claw like proportions, horns breaking the skin just past his hairline and last but certainly not least, the black feathers of his wings rip through the flesh on his back, bones snapping into place as the wings spread out to their full length. Taehyung sighs out in relief, he's been bottling it up for so long- it feels nice to uncage his appearance. He doesn't remember it being so painful before, but assumes it's due to his weakness.

It all happens so impossibly slow but terrifyingly fast that Taehyung can't register what's happening. All he knows is that suddenly the apartment door swings open to reveal Hoseok and Yoongi. Both men are frozen to the spot, Hoseok's eyes wide with fear while Yoongi smirks at him. Taehyung's eyes widen instantly, retracting his true features slowly while approaching the humans "H-Hoseok, let me explain-" the dancer looks at him with absolute fear, and disgust. Taehyung can feel his once dormant heart drumming wildly in his chest and dread storms his being, freezing him to the spot and just staring at Hoseok "Hoseok, I'm sorry." The dancer shuffles closer to Yoongi, glaring "what are you?" Taehyung frowns, swallowing the lump in his throat "I'm... a demon." Yoongi rests a hand on Hoseok's shoulder, practically taunting the dancer "he's a monster Hoseok. We should go get help." Hoseok shakes his head, gaze downcast with a small broken voice "why are you with me? Honestly. What am I to you?" Taehyung feels tears prick his eyes as he's forced to admit the truth after so many months of lying "you're... a target. I sensed your soul when I came to this world and I planted myself into your life...." the dancer seems to frown, a a large teardrop hitting the floorboard before he answers "was.... any of it real?" Taehyung stutters, stepping towards the dancer while trying to plead his case "of course it was. It still is. Hoseok... please just let explain-" Hoseok cuts him off by shoving him, causing the demon to stumble backwards and land on his ass. Hoseok glares down at him, hurt and anger shaking him "get the hell out of my home. Leave! Leave me alone and don't ever come back, you're a monster!!!" Taehyung feels a tear leak out at the cruel but true words, he hadn't cried since, well, he can't even remember the last time, but his hope is burning around him and he feels helpless because Hoseok is right about it all. He's a monster, he doesn't expect Hoseok to forgive him. Taehyung scrambles to his feet, eyes bleary and tears continuously falling as he stands "Hoseok, i'm sorry. I was going to tell you. I'd never hurt you..." Hoseok points to the door, angry tears threatening to coat his cheeks "I said, get out."

Taehyung moves past the humans without another word. He respects Hoseok's decision.

His feet carry him idly down a random street, eyes glued to the ground as he walks, tears coating his face and honestly, he doesn't care anymore. He just wants to die, cease to exist, or pay for his crimes. He's tired of running and for the first time in his task of being a demon, he regrets everything. He wishes he'd never been born, or even met Hoseok the first time. He's hurt the poor man too many times along with numerous others. It hurts too much to think about in depth. He reluctantly decides to return back to the underworld, maybe beg for death or imprisonment. Anything to keep from hurting someone else. He does wonder, however, how Yoongi knew to bring Hoseok in at the exact moment that he had. Then it occurs to him. Jin.

His eyes widen, Jin must've gotten to Yoongi and planned it all that way to get Hoseok alone! His eyes narrow and his teeth elongate, horns slightly breaking the skin as his anger boils up. An animalistic growl rumbles from within him and his eyes shift to black as his demon instincts take over and anger consumes his rationality. The thought of Jin hurting Hoseok pushes him over the edge, and in a flash his wings have ripped out of his back, and he growls loudly at both the pain and relief. Within seconds, his grand wings have lifted him off the ground, soaring high above the city using the clouds to cloak himself and hopefully go unnoticed by the humans.

An epic battle of wits and strength await. Will Taehyung kill the angel? Or fail and die himself?

Wow I know this is short chapter. Sorry
