That Saturday V awakes to an empty apartment yet again. He growls, sitting up and rubbing at his sore lower back from the dammed couch. He rubs his eyes, irritation practically dripping from his entire being as he stands. He can't take this anymore- sitting around and waiting like a dog, for Hoseok to come home. It's pathetic. He rubs his forehead, he has to figure out how to get Hoseok fired or somehow manage to lower his hours, because at this rate V won't make any real progress. He also decides that he should 'get a job' to his disgust. His mind is quickly running over all of the possibilities and outcomes that may happen, and groans. He's got nothing useful. He clicks the tv on, mindlessly browsing through Hoseok's Netflix, feet propped up on the coffee table as an act of rebellion because Hoseok has a rule about about not doing it, when it finally clicks. All he has to do is join Hoseok's dance class and get a 'job' either at the same cafe or somewhere nearby. He can spend time with Hoseok during lessons, and being nearby means he can convince Hoseok to skip work little by little. He also decides that maybe a real job won't be so bad, Hoseok can visit him at work that way. Less trouble than any of his other ideas. He pops his knuckles, watching some paranormal show with a scoff, stupid humans.
Hoseok finally comes home from work around ten at night, and V cutely skips to the door with a shout "Hobi!" Hoseok chuckles, though it's tired and strained, must've been a long day- V thinks. Hoseok glances at the kitchen with a slight frown "Tae... I asked you to cook, remember?" V smiles "I was waiting for you. I'm gonna order a pizza." Hoseok smiles, a little bit of stress melting away with that realization "thanks. I owe you." V waves it off, smiling "it's payment remember? You're letting me live here. It's the least I can do... Which reminds me.. I want to get a job.." Hoseok's smile widens as he pours himself a glass of milk "that's great! Where at?" V shrugs "the diner across the road from the one where you work. Also, I want to take dance lessons from you!" Hoseok lowers his glass, eyebrows furrowed "are you sure? I mean I'd be more than happy but I don't want you to feel obligated just because we're friends.." V waves it off again, smiling "I'm sure. I want to learn and who better to teach me than you!"
One week later and V is standing boredly in the cafe across the road from where Hoseok works at his new job as a waiter, idly leaning against the counter and awaiting a customer. He sighs at the lack of amusement, honestly how do humans live such tedious and mundane lives? If he had been born a mortal he would've killed himself by now. Wait, was he born a demon? His memory seems a bit foggy about how he came to be. Before he can dive into the deeper depths of his mind however, his ears pick up a familiar voice across the street. Thankful for his superhuman abilities, he tunes in to hear Yoongi talking to Hoseok. Yoongi has just walked in and taken a seat, happily chatting with Hoseok, and V can practically invision his smile. Honestly it's disgustingly obvious how in love Yoongi is with Hoseok- which will make stealing Hoseok away soooo much more satisfying. He closes his eyes, tuning in to their conversation in hopes of overhearing something useful. Hoseok has apparently walked over to Yoongis table judging by the footsteps and the fact that he can hear them both clearly now, after Hoseok greets him cheerfully he asks "enough of the small talk hyung, what brings you here? You never visit me at work." There's a drawn out pause before Yoongi speaks lowly "look, you're my best friend, and ever since...." He trails off, Hoseok instantly trying to lighten the mood "he'll come back one day hyung, I'm sure he just missed home or something..." Yoongi sighs softly before continuing "yeah, sure.. Anyways, ever since he left you've become like family to me. I'm not here on a social call, the coffee here is shit, no offense," Hoseok chuckles, and V assumes he's waving the comment off, Yoongi continues "when I say this, don't get mad, but I'm here about your new roommate." Hoseok scoffs in surprise "what about him??" Yoongi sighs again "I don't trust him. I caught him trying to practically break into your apartment last week, I would've told you sooner but you've been so busy." Hoesok asks in confusion "breaking in? He lives there why would he break in??" Yoongi quickly answers the question "he said he'd gone out for a walk and accidentally locked the door behind him. He was just staring at the doorknob when I caught him." Hoseok scoffs again, in irritation this time "he lives there. It's not breaking in, and so what if he went out for a walk? You're sounding paranoid again." Yoongi growls, likely glaring "I'm not paranoid. I'm just not fucking blind like you. He's using you Hoseok, somethings off about him, and it's not good. I haven't figured out what he's after yet but I will-" Hoseok slams his hand down on the counter, startling both Yoongi and the eavesdropping V as he mumbles lowly "you won't do anything. Leave him alone. He's had a hard enough life without you sticking your nose in his business, just butt out Yoongi hyung." Yoongi sighs softly, whispering "don't come crying to me when he hurts you." Then there's silence.
